Justin Bieber has landed eight awards in the 2017 Guinness World Records records book. The “What Do You Mean?” singer was gifted the awards certificates shortly prior to a recent sold-out show at Madison Square Garden. Bieber was chosen as the recipient of these awards due to his huge successes on Spotify and his performances on the charts.

At only 22, Bieber has already won the most streamed track on Spotify in one week with “What Do You Mean?” The song was streamed 30,723,708 times in one week. His album, Purpose, also won the most streamed album on Spotify in one week with 205 million streams. In addition, Bieber won the most tracks that charted on the Billboard Hot 100 for December 2015 and also won the first ever act to have the three top slots at one time on the U.K. singles chart. These three were “Love Yourself,” “Sorry,” and “What Do You Mean?” from his Purpose album according to Guinness

Bieber was additionally awarded for having the most new songs on the Billboard Hot 100 at one time, the highest number of Twitter followers and the most YouTube subscribers of any male artist. He also had the most watched YouTube music channel of a male artist. Bieber's wins were also announced by the Guinness World Records staff via their Twitter page.

In other Bieber news, the singer recently deleted his Instagram account following an online fight with Selena Gomez, who apologized shortly after. The “Sorry” singer had been threatening to delete his account when fans posted comments blasting rumored girlfriend Sofia Richie, the 17-year-old daughter of Lionel Richie. During the online spat, Gomez and Bieber accused each other of cheating during their relationship as well as Bieber’s claims that his ex-girlfriend had used him for attention.
