Kanye West and Kim Kardashian were recently spotted outdoors for the first time since the birth of their daughter, Chicago West. The couple stepped out to watch Honor Up in Calabasas.
The couple was joined by their friends Damon Dash and Terrence J at the movie house. Photos of the Kanye and Kim showed the two walking out of their car. Kanye was all smiles while talking to his wife. Kim, on the other hand, donned a straight face throughout their conversation.
Kanye wore an all-black ensemble during their movie date, but Kim opted for more colorful clothing. Her yellow-green, long-sleeved blouse blended well with her snakeskin-printed pants. The Keeping Up With the Kardashians star also wore beige stilettos during their date night.
Kim Kardashian Names Her Daughter Chicago West
Kim and Kanye welcomed their third child on Jan. 15. After her birth, the couple stayed mum about their baby's name and only shared it with their fans three days later. Chicago West was born at Cedars-Sinai Hospital in Los Angeles via Kim's gestational carrier.
As of late, Kim and Kanye have not yet explained why they chose the name Chicago for their daughter. Some fans believe that the name is a tribute to Kanye's hometown of Chicago.
Why Hire A Gestational Carrier?
On her website, Kim explained why she decided to hire a gestational carrier instead of getting pregnant with her own child. Doctors told the KKW Beauty CEO that she could no longer get pregnant due to Preeclampsia and placenta accreta, which are high-risk pregnancy conditions.
"Having a gestational carrier is definitely different, but anyone who says or thinks it's the easy way out is completely wrong. People assume it's better because you don't have to deal with the physical changes, pain, or complications with delivery, but for me, it was so hard to not carry my own child, especially after I carried North and Saint," said Kim.
The KUWTK star is not the only actress who opted to use a gestational carrier. Nicole Kidman and Tyra Banks, who both suffered from fertility issues, hired a gestational carrier to help them have a baby.
Kim clarified that using a gestational carrier is not a solution that is fit for every woman. She also said that she is grateful to her gestational carrier for making her and Kanye's dream of expanding their family a reality.
