Fans of Kendrick Lamar and J. Cole believe that the two artists are working on new music together. Their album may be called 4bidden.

On TDE's Instagram account, Punch uploaded a cryptic photo of a forbidden fruit. No other details have been released so far, but several fans are convinced that the snap has to do with J. Cole and Lamar's collaboration.

Fans React To The Rumored Collab Between Kendrick Lamar, J. Cole

One fan said that he has been waiting for the collaboration for the past two years. Another supporter urged Lamar and J. Cole to stop playing with them.

However, there is at least one person that thinks the photo has nothing to do with a forthcoming collaboration.

"Maybe I'm overthinking this and if I'm on to something give me a like. Okay, this is a forbidden fruit... Most people would say 'The Cole X Kendrick Lamar Album on the way, but I say no. I think, KDot featured in Cole's Forbidden Fruit just on the Hook. ATM is sort of on the same page as that song and it sounds as if Kendrick is on the Hook ATM. I may be off a bit but that's my theory," wrote the fan.

J. Cole Drops 'KOD,' Explains The Title's Meaning

Besides the recent rumor, J. Cole also made headlines recently after he had released his new album KOD. The 12-track project features the songs "Intro," "KOD," "Photograph," "The Cut Off," "ATM," "Motiv8," "Kevin's Heart," "Brackets," "Once an Addict," "Friends," "Window Pain," and "1985."

Prior to the release of KOD, J. Cole explained the meaning behind the song's title. He said that there are three different ways to interpret the three-letter name of his album.

"If I turn on the TV right now, it's not gonna take long for there to be an advertisement that pops up that says, 'Are you feeling down? Have you been having lonely thoughts?' And then they shove a pill in your face. The first response of any problem is to medicate," said J. Cole.

His explanation references the first meaning of KOD, which is "Kids on Drugs." The two other meanings of the title are "King Overdosed" and "Kill Our Demons."

"King Overdosed" refers to the times when the hip-hop artist was afflicted by the same methods of escape while "Kill Our Demons" is about his end goal.

"That's the end goal, to face our s***, realize that we have some shit going on inside. Everybody... because nobody's f****** perfect," said the artist.
