Meek Mill is officially back! After his release from prison, the Philadelphia-born rapper took the stage at Rolling Loud Festival 2018 to perform his hits.

Meek Mill Returns Onstage

The 31-year-old surprised the crowd when he came out after DJ Khaled's set on Saturday, May 12, for an unannounced concert.

"It feels good to be back and free in front of the motherf****** people," he told the crowd of the Miami-based annual music festival. "Thank you to everybody that supported me."

His set included live performances of the tracks "On The Regular," "Issues," "We Ball," "1942 Flows," and "Dreams and Nightmares." Tory Lanez, Lil Baby, and Gunna joined the rapper onstage.

This was a major moment for Mill, whose real name is Robert Rihmeek Williams, because this is his first public concert after he finally got out of prison in April. The Philadelphian MC was sentenced to two to four years in prison for breaking his decade-old probation for drugs and weapons possession.

His incarceration opened up debates on discrimination and corruption within the U.S. justice system, and many argued that the punishment was too severe. Several celebrities such as Jay-Z, Kevin Hart, Reverent Al Sharpton, and more rallied for his release.

The Pennsylvania Supreme Court finally stepped in and ordered his release on bail.

Travis Scott, Metro Boomin, NAV, Lil Pump, and Migos were also among the performers at Rolling Loud Festival 2018.

This likely will not be Mill's only public appearance in the next couple of months. Following his release last month, he has already agreed to several interviews where he talked about his life in prison and his next steps as a free man.

In a recent conversation with CNBC, Mill discussed the "systemic issues" within the justice system exposed by his unfair sentencing.

"It's not really about color. It's about environment and circumstance," he said. "Small mistakes put me back in prison without even committing crime again or being a threat to my community."

He also recently inked a deal with Amazon and Roc Nation for a six-part docu-series in 2019.

Meek Mill Hits On Rihanna

On a lighter note, it looks like Mill has been enjoying his return to social media after months of being behind the bars. Last week, he seemed to be making a move on Rihanna by commenting on one of the singer's photos on Instagram.

"Robin Thicke," he said referencing the singer/actress/businesswoman's real name, Robyn Rihanna Fenty, and "Blurred Lines" crooner Robin Thicke.

Rihanna is currently promoting her new line of all-inclusive lingerie, Savage x Fenty. Her collection launched last Friday, May 11, and immediately sold out.
