On July 6, T.I challenged 50 Cent to a 'Verzuz' battle through Instagram. Fif responded in a Twitter post. He quoted a headline from an article on Tip's challenge with a comment "yo somebody passed T.I the weed they gave smokey on Friday. LOL," Fif was referring to the character of Chris Tucker in the 1995 film Friday.
T.I said in his video that Fif could bring all his great collaborators, even Eminem. T.I made sure that the "Verzuz" battle was all about the songs they delivered in the past years. "You and me, we're alright. I fought with you, Fif, it isn't you this time. It's your catalog that got some trouble, you understand? Your motherf**king catalog is in trouble," T.I said with some insult. The Queens-born rapper, 50 Cent, clapped back that T.I was smoking "weed." As per Hollywoodlife, Fif turned 45 on July 6. This year's birthday has been remarkable as Tip challenged him to bring his music to Timbaland and Swizz Beatz's "Verzuz Battle" to see what it can do against the catalog of the Atlanta trap pioneer. Tip said in his IG post: "For your birthday, I offer you a challenge, sir. Pull your ass up with 20 of your records, sit across from me, and get this work, man," and then he said that he understands if Fiddy won't answer to the challenge. Remembering the last time that Fiddy fought against Kanye Wested and dusted his ass off. Tip said, "Well, guess who ain't scared of your mothaf**kin' a**, 50?" T.I brings up that fans want him to go against other rap icons like Jeezy and Gucci (Mane), but he wants Fiddy to square off against. Heating his dare, Tip said, "Someone calls Fifty and tell him I'm on him. If he wants this smoke, I got the ashtray. Let's see how long you have before you've sprung to my message." Fans are now getting involved and being divided into who would win right after Fif answered. Here are some of the comments in Twitter that seemed to divide the votes of who is a better rapper: @Melody323_520Miles made a somewhat personal attack on T.I. saying that the rapper is just good at cheating his wife and being forgiven after. Some ay saying Tip is better, like @Ajaysvg who says TIp is "lyrically better." According to Hollywoodlife, Fif seemed to take the challenge as a joke as he also responded through I.G. the same as what he tweeted. The article said T.I is serious about it as Tips answered back in a long video about how assured he is against Mr.Jackson's catalog.
