It looks like Hardwell is back from hiatus and is returning to close Ultra Miami 2022 next weekend.

Billboard insiders report Dutch DJ and Producer Hardwell is staging a comeback to music after a four-year hiatus from music at the Ultra Miami 2022 Festival.

Robbert can de Corput, more widely known as Hardwell, broke the dance music scene from 2012 to 2018.

He headlined major festivals like Tomorrowland, Sunburn, and Ultra while holding residencies at top-tier stadiums like Hakkasan in Sin City, Las Vegas.

In 2013 and 2014, Hardwell was voted as the world's No. 1 DJ by DJ Mag for two consecutive years. He also ranked the same magazine's 2019 poll at No. 12 in the Top 100 DJs of the Year.

"Spaceman" and "Apollo" were among the high-energy progressive house and big-room dance songs that Hardwelll produced during the peak of his career.

After releasing "How You Love Me" with Snoop Dogg and Connor Maynard in 2018, he announced that he would be taking a touring hiatus to focus more on his family and friends.

However, he still promised to continue making music in hopes of connecting with his avid fans through that.

Is Hardwell Really Returning To Ultra Miami 2022?

Hardwell's comeback to the scene seems highly likely, as reported by Billboard insiders.

The rumors of Hardwell's return have been going on for months.

EDM.com predicts the Dutch DJ megastar is making a comeback on this year's Ultra Miami 2022 because of a rather "obvious" design alteration of the festival's announcement.

The Ultra Miami organizers blurred out the name of a performer between the letter G" and "I" on its alphabetical lineup of artists.

Not only that, in February, the organizers hinted that the closing act of the three-day festival would be from "one of the most iconic artists in electronic music history."

To top the sundae with a cherry, DJ Kura and Timmy Trumpet, producers of Hardwell's Revealed Recordings label, echoed the same hype on Twitter, hinting at his return.

Since October last year, rumors of Hardwell's new album to be launched at the festival are also up in the air.

Whether it would be a secret until next weekend or announced a few days prior, no additional information is known yet as Ultra has not responded to Billboard questions, and Hardwell's manager declined to comment.
