Rapper Archie Eversole has passed away at 37 years old.

The Atlanta-born rap legend reportedly died today, Apr. 13, 2022, his nephew confirms.

Archie Eversole Cause of Death Remains A Mystery

According to The Sun, the rapper who is prominently known for his hit "We Ready," died of an unknown cause.

As of this time, Eversole's family nor the authorities have not disclosed what caused the rapper's death.

Eversole's nephew, Jordan Hughley, confirmed his uncle's death to The Sun.

"He was a great and loving man. He was really genuine and loved everyone," he said in a statement.

More details about his death are expected to be disclosed to the media in the coming days.

Archie Eversole Music Career in Sports

Eversole kickstarted his career way back when he was 17 years old.

His 2002 debut album "Ride Wit Me Dirty South Style" was certified gold by the Record Industry Association of America, primarily attributed to his most famous single, "We Ready."

The Atlanta-born native penned the iconic sports track "We Ready," which has become a sports anthem for many sporting events. The single sampled Steam's 1969 hit song "Na Na Hey Hey Kiss Him Goodbye."

Aside from his 2002 album, Eversole has not produced any more albums. However, he has released a handful of singles along the way, with the most recent in 2020.

More so, Archie was behind the track "United We Conquer," another anthem used in Atlanta sporting events.

According to HiphopDX, the Major League Soccer Atlanta United chose the rapper to pen the hit, further marking his name in the world of local sports.

His hits, mainly popularized in sports, made him such a beloved figure among sports fans and athletes alike.

"The man who gave us 'We Ready, the greatest Game Day anthem ever, has passed away at 37 years old. Rest In Peace Archie Eversole. Prayers up to his family and loved ones," former NFL Quarterback Robert Griffin III penned on Twitter.

A Twitter fan even posted a snippet of "We Ready" played in a football stadium along with a lengthy tribute to the rap legend.
