The MTV VMAs 2022 is happening at the end of the month, and the network just announced its highly-awaited performers.
Last month, the official list of MTV VMAs 2022 nominees were finally released and Lil Nas X, Kendrick Lamar, and Jack Harlow are leading the pack with seven nominations each.
Voting for the MTV VMAs 2022 is already open amd fans could vote 10 times per category per day until the actual event takes place on Aug. 28, 2022.
MTV VMAs 2022 Performers
The MTV VMAs has finally released its roster of performers for this year's award show. (via Billboard)
Latina singer Annita is making her debut at the VMA stage this year. Performinng her recent hit "Envolver," the music video of the track is nominated on the Best Latin Category, this makes her the first Brazilian female artist and singer to be nominated on the annual awards show.
Brendon Urie and his band, Panic! at the Disco is making a comeback after four years on the VMAs state to perform "Middle of a Breakup." The new single is one of the songs from their upcoming album, "Viva Las Vengenace," which will be released on Aug. 19. The title track's music video is nominated for Best Alternative Category.
J Balvin will also be hyping the MTV VMAs with rising Colombian star Castro for their "Nivel de Perreo" performance. The five-time MTV VMA recipient is nominated against Annita on the same Latin cayegory for his "In Da Getto" video with Skrillex.
Last on the list are Marshmello and Khalid who were both no strangers to the stage. This year, the duo will be performing their song "Numb" which is currentlty at the Top 3 on the Billboard's Hot Dance/Electronic Songs Chart.
As of this writing, it is unknown yet if there are more performers to be announced in the coming weeks.

MTV VMAs 2022 Nominees, Vote
Meanwhile, the battle for the MTV VMas is quite stiff this year with hip-hop artists being the most-nominated ones.
Kendrick Lamar, Jack Harlow, and Lil Nas X leads the roster with seven nominations, with both Harlow and Nas X nominated for Video of the Year.

The MTV VMAs 2022 will take place on Aug. 28, 2022, at 8 p.m. ET/PT, at the Prudential Center in Newark, N.J. The live telecast will be broadcasted on The CW Network, among many other channels.
