Blake Shelton just released a new song and many fans think that it's a throwback track, but little did they know, it was a song that was just recently produced; why does it sound like an old release?

According to 103.1 KFIL, the singer dropped the song "No Body" and the reason why it sounds like an old song is because it heavily featured 90s country sound.

"Don't wanna shadow dance with nobody / Slide some cotton off of nobody / Don't wanna wake up kissing no body / No body but yours," the lyrics read.

The outlet noted that aside from the old country sound, the song's narrative and lyricism also featured nostalgic references like "scoot the boots," derived from Brooks and Dunn's
Boot Scootin" and "Conway [Twitty] on the radio."

Speaking about his new release, Shelton aid he gets excited whenever he drops a new song, but "No Body" is special to him because it takes him to the 1990s when he was in high school and moved to Nashville, Tennessee.
