FN Meka is making rounds online after he was signed and then dropped by Capitol Records following an issue. Today, the rapper who claimed to be the voice behind the virtual rapper spoke out and alleged that the music giant stole from him.

Taking to his Instagram account, Kyle The Hooligan, a musician based in Atlanta, claimed that Capitol Records stole his intellectual property.

He noted that the company reached out to him to discuss things about artificial intelligence. He was allegedly offered to do the virtual rapper's voice and he thought it was a collaboration.

As promised, Kyle was expecting to receive equity and percentages. He immediately thought that the collaboration was a little different from him as he's doing music to voice and AI.

Initially, things were doing good until the company "ghosted him."

"Use my voice, use my sound, use the culture and literally just left me high and dry. I ain't get a dime off of nothing, and they got record deals, all this stuff," he added. (via Hip Hop DX)

The rapper then revealed that he was not involved in any meetings. Today, he's glad that CMG is canceled because he believes that it was their "karma" for playing with him.

FN Meka Dropped By Capitol Records After Online Uproar

In early reports, the New York Times music reporter Joe Coscarelli confirmed in a tweet that the Capitol Music Group has severed ties with the virtual rapper.

The reason why he got fired was that people called him out for having racist overtones in his songs.

Capitol Records released a statement regarding the issue, saying they're sorry to the Black community as they became insensitive in the project because they pushed through with the artist despite the lack of research.

They later thanked those people who protested with "constructive feedback" as their inputs were used to make their final decision.

Industry Blackout, a non-profit organization, heavily contributed to CMG's decision to terminate FN Meka's contract as they released a statement regarding the issue.

Before the rapper's contract was terminated, he amassed negative feedback from online users as they were disappointed upon hearing the news of a virtual rapper getting signed with a major label.

Most fans noted that recording companies should hire and sign artists who are working hard in the music industry.
