It seems as though that Rita Ora and Calvin Harris breakup is really affecting Ora's career. Earlier this week, the "Black Widow" singer was forced to cancel a performance of her new single "I Will Never Let You Down" at the 2014 Teen Choice Awards, and she claims it's because the "Summer" DJ wouldn't clear the song for air.

According to an interview with Ryan Seacrest, Harris, who produced "I Will Never Let You Down," did not approve the track for the FOX awards show.

"For anybody who doesn't understand how it works, he wrote and produced the song," Ora said. "So he has to approve anything TV-wise for anybody who doesn't get it. And obviously he owns the rights to it and he didn't approve the Teen Choice Awards."

Despite putting her own money and time into the scrapped TCAs performance, Ora isn't holding a grudge against her ex-boyfriend.

"I could have got told a few weeks earlier, you know. That would have been nice. It was a last minute change, but you know what, it happens and we move on and move forward," she said. "It is what it is, man. You know, you write a song with somebody, and I guess there's some stuff that comes with it... Everything happens for a reason, that's how I look at it."

This isn't the first time Harris has withheld a musical opportunity from Ora after their June breakup. According to sources, Harris is blocking Ora from using any of the music they worked on while dating, creating a "road block" for her sophomore album.
