In August, many fans were enraged after Rolling Stone UK gave Harry Styles the title of the "new king of pop" in their October/November issue. Today, Michael Jackson's son is speaking out and he's revealing what he truly feels about the pop star.

Speaking to ET during the Thriller Night Halloween benefit, Prince Jackson, the son of the late singer, acknowledged how good the former One Direction member is on his own, but also noted that the "king of pop" title only remains to his dad.

"There's so many technological, social factors, that I think went into the earning of the title, 'King of Pop,'" he said.

He went on to say that he doesn't see anyone in the music industry who's close to achieving his father's success because "they have their own length of achievements."

However, being given the title of "king of pop" is an achievement on a different level because the late pop star broke boundaries in numerous countries that "didn't have the same infrastructure tha they do now."

Explaining more about Michael Jackson's enormous popularity and career, Prince said his father was popular on a global scale and he even became the most famous person in the world all because of his music, which means the title couldn't be taken away from him.

When asked about who he thinks is almost close to having the same wavelength as his dad, Prince said it's Beyoncé.

Even though he doesn't know the "If I Were a Boy" singer personally, he based his personal thoughts on a professional standpoint.

Prince also revealed that his dad was a fan of the singer when she was just starting in the music industry, meaning he "kinda predicted that."

"He saw that same fire and dedication in her, and for me, I felt like -- she's up there," he added.

The 'King of Pop' Title Issue

Many people were divided after Rolling Stone UK published their October/November issue featuring Harry Styles.

On the cover, which features the pop star holding a birthday cake while wearing a fur jacket, a text at the bottom of his name reads "the new King of Pop."

Prince was not the first person from his family that reacted to the matter as the late pop star's nephew, Taj Jackson, the son of Tito Jackson, quote-retweeted the photo, saying there is no new "king of pop" and no one earned the title aside from his uncle.
