Nicki Minaj set the charts on fire and sent fans into a frenzy after making her big comeback earlier this year with the song "Freaky Girl," but many supporters are still waiting for her highly-anticipated fifth studio album; when is it coming out?

The queen of rap recently spoke with City Girls' JT for i-D to tease barbz about the follow-up to her "Queen" album years later.

When asked about what's in store for fans in the near future regarding her projects, Minaj confirmed that her fifth album, which has been in progress for almost five years, "will be out soon."

However, the "Come See About Me" hitmaker refuses to give an official release date.

"I'm not gonna say when it's gonna come out, but the album will be out soon," she said. (via Billboard)

Nicki Minaj's last album, "Queen," was released in 2018. It featured hit songs like "Chun-Li," "Majesty," "Bed" featuring Ariana Grande," and many more.

Nicki Minaj Teases More Future Projects

Despite not revealing any information about her upcoming fifth studio album, Nicki Minaj teased fans about the projects that she would be tackling in the future.

The mom of one teased about venturing out into the world of retail as she's working on a nail art company, saying the public will now have a chance to buy her press-on nail with "dope designs."

In addition, it appears that Minaj will be gracing the big screen again as she's planning to get back into the television and movie industry.

She told the host that she's been speaking to a director about a possible movie appearance. Regarding television, she's still unsure.

The "Right By My Side" rapper added that she would never abandon acting for a long time as it's one of her biggest passions.

Nicki Minaj previously starred in "The Other Woman" alongside Cameron Diaz, Kate Upton, and Leslie Mann. She also became a voice actor for the animated films "Ice Age: Continental Drift" and "The Angry Birds Movie 2"

Elsewhere in the interview, the "Night Is Still Young" hitmaker opened up about her true feelings about being misunderstood in the music industry since amassing massive fame more than a decade ago.

Since the rapper is outspoken, Minaj said there's a big misconception about them being "so strong."

"Just because a person fights back, doesn't mean they're not afraid. I have suppressed years' worth of things that I've wanted to say," she added.
