Drummer Brandon Fried Fired From "The Neighbourhood" Amid Groping Accusations [DETAILS]

"The Neighbourhood" let go of its drummer, Brandon Fried, amid the allegations that he groped The Marias singer, Maria Zardoya.

In an Instagram Story post shared by The New York Post, Zardoya claimed that the drummer showed lewd behavior that has since become one of the most uncomfortable things she ever experienced.

"I was at a bar last night, and I was groped under the table by Brandon Fried, the drummer of 'The Neighbourhood'. It was one of the most uncomfortable things I've ever experienced. I felt an invasion of my space, privacy and body," she said.

Zardoya told "The Neighbourhood" that it needs to find a new drummer, calling him a complete creep.

Following her post, the band took to Twitter and thanked Zardoya for speaking up. It added that it offers no tolerance for any kind of inappropriate behavior toward women.

After the incident, "The Neighbourhood" announced Fried's departure from the band.

The drummer, on the other hand, admitted his wrongdoing on his Instagram Story and said that his actions are not "reflective of who I am as a person." He claimed he was under the influence at the time of the incident.

Still, he pledged to work on his problems with alcohol and substance abuse, saying he is now seeking help for it.

"The Neighbourhood" debuted in 2011 alongside Jeremy Freedman, Zach Abels, Mikey Margot, and Jesse Rutherford. Fried joined them in 2014.

The Neighbourhood Deals With Another Slap

Before Fried's issue, "The Neighbourhood" was bombarded with angry fans after the 31-year-old frontman and Billie Eilish, 20, confirmed their relationship at the LACMA Art + Film Gala 2022.

They also went Instagram official before the event, sharing their Halloween costumes for this year.

Fans found out that the musicians probably have known each other since 2017. Billie was 15 at that time, while Rutherford was 26.

The duo sparked dating rumors last month when they were spotted having dinner in Los Angeles and holding hands at Universal Studios' Halloween Horror Nights the following evening.

Eilish has already dated several older men in the past, including Brandon "Q" Adams and Matthew Tyler Vorce, who are five and 10 years her senior, respectively.

Still, fans expressed their dismay and accused the frontman of grooming the young singer.
