Fans of Cher are going wild with speculation that she will be engaged to her 36-year-old boyfriend over Christmas.
The renowned artist tweeted a photo on Christmas morning of her new partner, Alexander "AE" Edwards, holding what seemed to be an engagement ring made of diamonds.
The "If I Could Turn Back Time" music icon captioned the picture, "THERE R NO WORDS, ALEXANDER, A.E."
The ring in question is contained in a jewelry box made of black velvet. A belt of lesser diamonds surrounds the large teardrop-shaped center diamond in the ring.
AE, a music executive, was clutching the box with two fingers that had lime green flames painted on black nail varnish.
The meaning of the ring and whether or not wedding bells were anticipated by the "Believe" singer's followers were instantly questioned by the public.
However, Cher didn't respond; she only reposted the same image 30 minutes later with a new, more mysterious message.
She replaced the message with, "I shared this because his nails are so nice," but failed to put an end to the engagement rumors.
It was previously claimed by Radar Online that Cher's pals had voiced their worries about her teenage partner.
A source said that the "I Got You Babe" singer, who is more than 40 years younger than AE Edward, has caused a lot of people to worry for her.
