Recently, Courtney Love said something really controversial regarding the "geniuses" in music.

The Hole front woman said that only her husband, Kurt Cobain, and Lana Del Rey are capable of "can Spielberg anything" when she spoke on Marc Maron's show "WTF."

The 58-year-old rocker said, "Lana and Kurt are the only two true musical geniuses I've ever known, And by that, I mean they can Spielberg anything."

The "Born To Die" hitmaker, who will release a new album, "Did You Know That There's A Tunnel Under Ocean Boulevard," next year, received praise from Courtney, who compared her "integrity" to that of her late husband, who killed himself in 1994.

She said of Lana, "She's got the integrity that Kurt had. The only two people I know that I can say."

"By the way, Stipe? Bono? Yes, these are people that I know and love. Billie Joe, sure. But Lana? She's got a magic thing. And she's not even f--king up!"

People lambasted the "Celebrity Skin" singer for having little options after the interview. If Courtney only met with two business contacts, one suggested that she broadens her network.

"She's met very few people, but that's what happens when you're locked up in rehab for so long," another person noted of her time in rehab in 2004, after being sentenced to do so for 18 months. "I feel her."

Many others, however, offered suggestions for names of other performers, with one objecting, "Not after Beyoncé was born."

Someone else brought up the fact that Courtney never really listened to Adele.

Another individual said of Courtney, "It's been years, get over him," adding that she should let Kurt go.

Courtney Love New Album

The first album since her 2010 Hole record, "Nobody's Daughter," which was created in cooperation with Lana del Rey's longtime collaborator Justin Parker and Dirty Pretty Things guitarist Anthony Rossomando, Courtney Love also mentioned that she has been working on some new songs.

She made a suggestion about her future record by informing the comedian that rock is "not a thing," hence her album won't be one.

In reaction to the legal turmoil between Amber Heard and Johnny Depp that occurred this year, Courtney said that she had written the song "Kill F-k Marry" and a "earworm and a half" called "Justice for Kurt."
