Kate Bush was one of the most iconic singers of her generation and during her prime years, Fleetwood Mac was also an in-demand band. Little did their fans know that the two music acts almost went on tour together; why didn't they push it?

According to Grunge, the British singer started getting popular around 1978. At the time, Fleetwood Mac was already known around the world.

Bush reportedly got an invitation to perform as a supporting act on their "Rumours" tour for their album of the same name that went on to be one of their most successful and best-selling records of all time.

Unfortunately, the "Running Up That Hill (A Deal With God)" songstress didn't accept the offer, but she was able to tour the following year on her solo "Tour of Life" across Europe. Her last show was on May 14, 1979.

Many remembered her set of shows as theatrical as there was a lavish stage design, poetry, costume changes, back projections, and many more. (via BBC News)

The tour featured songs from her debut and sophomore albums "The Kick Inside" and "Lion Heart."

She stopped touring most likely because of the possible discomfort of flying in an aircraft and exhaustion. (via Louder Sound)

"It was enormously enjoyable. But physically it was absolutely exhausting," she told Mojo Magazine in 2011. She also noted that her family life got in the way of performing as they are incredibly important to her.

In addition, the musician was also saddened after the accidental death of Bill Duffield, a 21-year-old lighting director, in a fall during her "Tour of Life" which almost made her cancel the following shows.

Following this, Bush has not taken the stage until after three decades. She performed at the Hammersmith Odeon in 2014, the same location where her last show was held 34 years prior.

Throughout her career, the musician was able to release ten studio albums, two compilation albums, two live records, six video albums, five EPs, and many more.

Some of her most memorable projects were "The Dreaming," "The Sensual World," "The Red Shoes," "50 Words for Snow," and more.

In recent months, Kate Bush was able to gain popularity again after her song, "Running Up That Hill (A Deal With God)" was featured on the fourth season of the hit Netflix series, "Stranger Things."
