Stephen "tWitch" Boss' family bid an emotional goodbye to the dancer weeks after his tragic death.

People reported on Wednesday that tWitch was laid to rest in the afternoon in Los Angeles. A news outlet received a tip from unnamed sources, who revealed that the funeral was "small and intimate" with only close family members in attendance.

After tWitch was laid to rest, his family is reportedly planning to hold a larger gathering and celebration of life ceremony soon. Details about the ceremony are yet to be finalized, but sources told the news outlet that it would be held for close friends and people who the late DJ considered his family.

tWitch is survived by several family members, including his wife, Allison Holker and their three children, Weslie, Maddox, and Zaia.

"It has been a very difficult time, but Allison has always been a strong person," a source told ET. "She is trying to keep her composure and not break down in front of her kids through this process for their sake."

"She is prioritizing their mental well-being, especially her eldest daughter, since she has an idea of what's going on and the younger children don't fully understand," it added.

What Happened to Stephen "tWitch" Boss?

tWitch's wife confirmed his death in a statement to People in December. She did not disclose his cause of death, but the Los Angeles medical examiner divulged that he died by suicide at a hotel.

The manager of the Oak Tree Inn where he died revealed to Radar Online that he arrived at the facility without a car and only carried a small bag with him. He reportedly did not look "upset" upon his check-in a day before his death.

When he failed to check out at 11 a.m. the next day, a maid checked him but found his body in the bathroom instead.

Police retrieved his bag, which reportedly contained a suicide note. He also put his phone on airplane mode so his family and friends would not be able to contact or find him before his death.

Law enforcement sources shared with a news outlet that the "So You Think You Can Dance" alum penned a message that vaguely referenced the issues he had been dealing with. It also clarified that the DJ was not going through financial hardship.

The former "The Ellen DeGeneres Show" personality died of a self-inflicted gunshot wound to the head.
