Harry Styles brought home two golden gramophones from the 2023 Grammy Awards, but also spurred some criticisms from the audience and netizens.

Styles had a successful run at the Grammys over the weekend, he won album of the year and best pop vocal album for his third studio album "Harry's House," and performed his Grammy-nominated song "As It Was."

Despite being a seasoned singer and performer, the singer was obviously nervous about his performance-he had to perform in front of his fellow artists, which must have been pretty daunting.

At the beginning of his performance, Styles' voice cracked, which probably threw him and everyone else off, as he is usually known to sing flawlessly and on-tune all the time.

But alas, he is still human after all, and netizens couldn't wait to point out the flaws in the singer's performance.

"And he won over Adele," a Twitter user wrote with laughing emojis, referring to Styles' best pop vocal album win.

Several other notable artists were nominated under the best pop vocal album category; Adele's "30," ABBA's "Voyage," "Coldplay's "Music of the Spheres," and Lizzo's "Special."

"Best pop vocal album without the vocals," another added.

"I'm sorry, Beyonce, you had to see this," another Twitter user wrote, probably referring to the "Cuff It" singer's album of the year snub.

According to reports, Styles won one of the most coveted awards of the night, the album of the year, which was considered a major upset to fans who rooted for Beyonce's "Renaissance" to win.

Undeserved?

Among the sea of criticisms against the One Direction album, his fans were steadfast in defending his honor.

"Keep in mind he's been on tour nonstop I mean of course he's gonna sound tired and not well. I just hope he gets a well-deserved break after he's done touring," a fan wrote on Twitter.

"On his concerts the energy was different I think he was nervous here..."

Several other fans also noted that the recording of Style's "As It Was" performance was vastly different from the live version.

"Nahhhh they Selena Gomez'd him because this sounds better in the arena than on TV," another fan wrote.

"Ok but they did this with Olivia too during the 2021 VMAs! I was there in-person and she sounded great then I watch the performance back and was like, they did her so dirty on national television!"

Despite the backlash of the performance, it seems like the artists watching Styles didn't mind too much. They probably know what it's like performing at one of the biggest award show stages.
