The lady tasked with communicating sign language throughout Rihanna's Super Bowl performance received widespread accolades for her enthusiastic performance.
On Sunday at Arizona's State Park Stadium, Justina Miles, a 20-year-old nursing student and American Sign Language specialist, became the first deaf performer in the history of the top American athletic event.
She also made history by becoming the first deaf person to deliver its pre-show hymn, "Lift Every Voice and Sing," which was performed live by Sheryl Lee Ralph, a Tony Award-winning singer and actress.
However, it was her subsequent performance at Rihanna's much-anticipated halftime show that garnered the most notice; her stunning performance, followed by intense dancing, has since gone viral.
One pleased spectator remarked on Twitter, "'I know exactly what she singing and I don't know sign language." While another said, "The deaf sign language interpreter for Rihanna's Super Bowl performance is EVERYTHING."

Evidently concurring, a third Super Bowl fan exclaimed, "The sign language interpreter got the moves that Rihanna didn't have."
Another commentator stated, "Ok but shoutout to Rihanna's sign language interpreter, she was killin' it." the forefront of her dance crew.
Some joked that the sign language interpreter was superior to Rihanna.
Others claimed that the Super Bowl Sign language interpreter deserves a pay raise, to meet Rihanna, and to fulfill all of her lifelong aspirations.
At a news conference held Thursday before the Super Bowl, Justina emphasized the significance of empowering'millions and millions of black deaf people around the country who have never seen that before.
Rihanna discarded all the traditions of the normal Super Bowl halftime show and made the entertainment industry's grandest stage her own. In addition, she disclosed that she is pregnant with her second kid.
More of an avant-garde dance piece than a concert, the Barbadian superstar, dressed in a bright red jumpsuit, performed 12 of her hits in 13 minutes at State Farm Stadium in Glendale, Arizona, surrounded by dozens of androgynous dancers dressed in white who mimicked nearly every move she made on and off the enormous stage.
Rihanna became the first pregnant woman to headline the prestigious musical event on Sunday by rubbing her stomach and leaving the zipper of her outfit - a jumpsuit layered over a close-fitting bodysuit and sculpted bandeau - down to reveal her baby bump at the beginning of her performance in Phoenix, Arizona.
