Offset New Song 2023 Features Late Migos Co-Rapper Takeoff [DETAILS]

The untimely death of Takeoff, a fellow Migos member and Offset's cousin, has been difficult for the Atlanta rapper.

Offset had been working on his sophomore studio album for the most of 2022, but he took some time to grieve and adjust to his new circumstances.

Offset, 31, made a triumphant return on Monday (March 20), posting an Instagram story of himself listening to an unreleased song featuring Takeoff and Detroit rapper Icewear Vezzo.

Offset appears to be ready to return to the spotlight after a little break, per Variety.

The late Takeoff and Vezzo's remarkable connection is on full show in this almost minute-long song.

Vezzo, who was signed to Migos' old label Quality Control, shows that he can match Takeoff's enthusiasm and high-quality standard with his verse.

The video does not say whether or not Offset featured in the song alongside Takeoff and Vezzo.

As a result, it's unclear if this unnamed tune will be a solo Offset single featuring Takeoff and Vezzo or a posthumous solo Takeoff release. If it belongs to Offset, it will most likely appear on his next solo album.

Offset took to Twitter on Monday to announce that he is currently producing his forthcoming album.

On Instagram, a clip followed this message, sparking suspicion that his album may include tracks like "54321," directed by Baby Keem, and "CODE," by Moneybagg Yo.

As Offset and Takeoff consider collaborating, Quavo remains alienated from his former best buddy.

Before Takeoff's death, the two had split from Offset to create a collaborative album dubbed "Only Built For Infinity Links," which alluded to Migos' fate.

Though we may never know the actual reason, Quavo and Takeoff provided a simple explanation for their split, saying, "sometimes sh*t don't work out."

Migos Feud

Even when Takeoff died, Offset and Quavo couldn't seem to come to terms. There were reports of an altercation between them at the Grammys in early February, prior to Quavo's performance devoted to Takeoff.

Quavo released his track "Greatness" in late February, which looks to be a direct blow at Offset, putting a stop to any more conjecture regarding their relationship.

While it's unclear when Migos will reconvene and Quavo and Offset will reconcile, Takeoff fans can be confident that new music is on the way.

Whether or if Offset joins him remains to be unknown, but listeners can expect new music shortly.
