The multi-hyphenate music artist has taken on a lot of roles in the past couple of decades, a father, a husband, an inspiration to a generation of budding artists, a boss - and perhaps HipHop's richest artist ever.

In a report from Forbes, Jay-Z's net worth was updated, giving him a significant leap. Comparing it on the 2022 year-end net worth, his fortune seemed to have almost doubled since then.
The report revealed that Jay-Z's net worth is now estimated to be at $2.5 billion as of Mar. 24, 2023, making him the richest HipHop artist ever, if not the richest person in the music industry to date.
Jay-Z is ranked No. 1209 at the worldwide Billionaires list, just five spots under Oprah Winfrey at No. 1204.

Jay-Z Net Worth 2023: Assets
At the year-end 2022 lists, Jay-Z was hailed as the third-highest paid entertainers, ranking under "Lord of the Rings" creator Peter Jackson, and Bruce Springsteen. He is said to have paid $340 million dollars in salary last year.
"Even in a year without a tour or album release, Jay-Z mints millions from his Armand de Brignac champagne and D'Usse cognac," the report revealed. "Jay-Z's assets range from entertainment company Roc Nation to a fine art collection including works by Jean-Michel Basquiat."
