Billy Joel is "Movin' Out"!
The "New York State of Mind" singer's Long Island home is currently on sale for a whopping $49 million.
According to reports, Joel has lived in his waterfront mansion for over 20 years, and given the amenities and the sheer grandeur of the estate, one might even wonder why he is willing to part ways with it.
The 20,000 sq. ft. mansion is set within 26 screws of land and is a stone's throw away from the Oyster Bay Harbor.
It is complete with a bowling alley, spa or salon, helipad, indoor pool, floating dock, and even a guest house.
New Home
As per the Architectural Digest, Joel is simply moving out because he and his wife Alexis Roderick have been spending more of their time down at their Florida property.
The couple's home in the Keys was acquired back in 2015, and costs about $22 million, a large difference from their home in Long Island-however, that can be chalked up to all the renovations the singer has done to the place.
According to People magazine, the "Uptown Girl" singer has been planning to sell the mansion for quite some time now.
The place is definitely not shabby, and the next owners can enjoy hosting grand parties because the guest house is simply divine.
It boasts four bedrooms, with a three-bedroom apartment as well as a separate maintenance house.
Despite selling his long-time home in Long Island, Joel is not actually ready to cut ties with the place. He still reportedly owns a farm on the island, and he does not seem to have any plans of selling that property yet.

Net Worth
According to reports, Joel has an estimated net worth of $225 million. He amassed his fortune following his successful music career.
The "Piano Man" singer would probably have more money, had he not been swindled of $90 million by his former manager and brother-in-law.
On top of that, he also suffered some devastating blows financially because of his numerous failed marriages.
The singer has been divorced three times: first to Elizabeth Weber, with whom he was married from 1973 to 1982, Christie Brinkley, 1985 to 1994, and finally Katie Lee, 2004 to 2010.
He tied the knot with Roderick in 2015. She is a former hedge fund manager, which is probably why his finances are back in good shape.
