Johnny Depp participated in the first Jeff Beck tribute concerts in London alongside Billy Gibbons and Metallica's Kirk Hammett.

Organized by Eric Clapton, the two-night "A TRIBUTE TO JEFF BECK WITH ERIC CLAPTON & FRIENDS," started on Monday and welcomed a slew of musicians and personalities who worked with the late musician before his death. The event was launched in honor of Beck's legacy and memory following his passing on Jan. 10.

1st Night of Jeff Beck's Tribute Concert Welcomes Johnny Depp

The first tribute concert held at the Royal Albert Hall saw performances from different acts, including Depp, Ronnie Wood, Rhonda Smith, Anika Nilles, and Rod Stewart.

Depp particularly joined Hammett and Gibbons to perform Beck's notable reimagining of The Beatles John Lennon's classic song, "Isolation." The "Pirates of the Caribbean" star stood on the stage and played the guitar to honor his late friend.

Before Beck died, he and Depp released the collaborative album, "18," and toured together in the months leading to his death.

The musician-actor's appearance came after he attended the Cannes Film Festival in France where his French-language film "Jeanne Du Barry" premiered.

His touching move to perform Beck's reimagining proved how close the duo was when the guitarist was still alive. One source even told People in January that Depp was one of the people who visited the musician on his deathbed.

"They had a tight friendship, they were extremely close, and he got even closer over this past summer when they were touring together," the insider said. "The sickness came on really quickly and it all deteriorated rapidly in the last couple weeks... Johnny is still processing the news. He's devastated."

The second night of Jeff Beck's tribute show officially started Tuesday at the same venue.

Jeff Beck's Death

Beck's family released a shocking statement through The Hollywood Reporter confirming his "sudden death" at a hospital in Surrey, England. It revealed that he passed following his battle with bacterial meningitis.

His official Facebook page shared a similar message asking everyone to give the bereaved family privacy after the tremendous loss.

According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, Beck's cause of death can truly lead to death in just a few hours as it can cause permanent disabilities and brain damage. Some also suffer sepsis, a life-threatening medical emergency that occurs when body responds extremely to an infection.
