Rod Stewart has been working in the music industry for over half a century now and it seems like his children wanted him to stop performing for him to focus on himself and his family.

According to a source close to the musician's family members who spoke with Daily Mail, some of the British legend's eight kids are doing their best to convince their father to retire.

One of the main reasons is they are worried about his current health status and he also has nothing left to prove to anyone as he has been a world-renowned performer for decades. (via Page Six)

"With his health issues, and considering his age, several of Rod's kids just think it is time for him to take a few years to focus on his health and his family - especially after the birth of his third grandbaby," the insider said.

Despite the rumors, Rod Stewart has yet to announce if he's going to close the curtain in his career to rest and focus on his loved ones or not.
