Leigh-Anne Pinnock's new song "Don't Say Love" is now taking over the charts and social media with her first solo song after being in a group for more than a decade. More recently, the pop star opened up more details about her new album as well as her dream collaborations.

The singer, popularly known as being a member of Little Mix, spoke with Entertainment Tonight to share her thoughts on being a solo artist.

The British musician said the experience was "amazing" but it has also been "scary" for her because she spent almost 12 years being in a group and now it's different. However, she also feels it is the right time for her to venture out into a solo career.

Now that her song, released in June 16, 2023, is charting all over the world and have been loved by social media users, Pinnock is happy that her track had positive reviews from the public because there have been expectations for her and her bandmates on what they would sound like on their own.

"To know that everyone's just loving it and that the response has been just unbelievable, it's been wicked," she told the outlet.

"Don't Say Love" is the lead single from Leigh-Anne Pinnock's first-ever solo album, but details regarding the project has yet to be publicized.

However, the musician gave fans several hints on what to expect on the record, saying there will be a mix of genres that she grew up listening to.

"So whether it be reggae, R&B, a bit of Afrobeats, I wanted to sort of merge these different genres and put my Leigh-Anne stamp on it," she said, confirming that there will also be "reggae songs" in the album.

Leigh-Anne Pinnock Future Collaborations

Since the mom of two is now on the solo career path, she opened up about the musicians that she wanted to collaborate with in future projects.

As of the moment, Leigh-Anne Pinnock says her favorite artist is SZA because she's "so unique and both of her albums are just like nothing I've ever heard." The singer added that she also wanted to collaborate with sisters Halle and Chloe Bailey.

Regarding a possible team-up with her Little Mix bandmates Perrie Edwards and Jade Thirlwall, the musician said she's "100 percent" down and it would be "iconic."
