Despite Ice Spice's massive success over the past two years, the musician is still pretty new to the game that's why she needed a guide from legendary rappers who would help her take the right path in her career.

More recently, the female hip-hop artist revealed that Drake is one of the people she constantly talks to and she considers him as her mentor.

The "Barbie World" rapper spoke with Zane Lowe in an interview for Apple Music 1. During the conversation, the New York City-raised artist shared some details about the project that she's been working on as well as her relationship with other known artists like Nicki Minaj, Taylor Swift, and many more.

Elsewhere in the interview, the host asked if she considers anyone in the industry as her mentor as she's still in the early days of her career.

Ice Spice, Drake Mentorship

Ice Spice didn't hesitate and immediately answered, "I'd say Drake."

"We talk all the time and we're always just laughing about some things that go on. And I'll ask him, 'What should I do with this? Or how'd you go about this? Or did you ever experience that?'" she said. (via Kiss FM)

The rapper added that she's not going to reveal any example, but Drake would tell her that he did "this and you should do that."

In the end, she noted that she considers the Canadian hip-hop star as her "coach."

Ice Spice Also Considers Nicki Minaj as Her Mentor

Aside from Drake, Ice Spice also shared her working relationship with her collaborator, Nicki Minaj, as she has been in the game for a long time now and both of them already worked on tracks like the remix for "Princess Diana" and the most recent "Barbie World" for "Barbie The Movie."

"I feel like I am absorbing advice from [Nicki Minaj] and learning from her and stuff," she said.

She added that the "Right By My Side" hitmaker would tell her to learn from her mistakes and don't do such things.

Ice Spice also noted that she would pay attention to what Minaj would say because "if there's anyone I'm going to listen to, it's the queen."

In other updates, the rapper is set to release the deluxe edition of her smash EP, "Like...?," soon.
