Celine Dion's battle with a rare neurological disorder has not been an easy journey.

After a series of show cancelations, Dion decided to cancel the remaining dates of her ongoing tour "to be fair to the fans" amid her health battle. She revealed in a video in December 2022 that she was diagnosed with stiff-person syndrome, which also caused her previous issues with muscle spasms.

Celine Dion, Family Cannot Find Effective Medicine

In an interview with the Canadian publication Le Journal de Montréal, Dion's sister - Claudette Dion - shared the latest update regarding the singer's health since she started taking time off to focus on her treatment.

Claudette revealed in the conversation that their sister, Linda, moved into the "My Heart Will Go On" singer's home to care for her. She added that Dion mostly needs to rest as she always gives her all in everything she does.

"At one point, your heart and your body are trying to tell you something. It's important to listen to it," she said. "It's innate to her, she's disciplined in every area of her life. We can't find any medicine that works, but having hope is important."

While searching for an effective medicine and treatment, the "Love Again" star reportedly began listening to the top researchers of the rare disease.

Celine Dion's Health Condition Is Incurable

While Dion and her family still hope to see the singer win her battle, Insider's Marianne Guenot previously reported that - while stiff-person syndrome is not curable - its symptoms can be managed using different drugs, including medicines for anxiety and muscle relaxants.

The "To Love You More" hitmaker's condition is a rare, progressive disorder that has been causing stiffness in her body parts' muscles, including the ones in the torso, arms, and legs.

Since it progresses, it can become debilitating if left unmanaged.

Currently, Dion continues to work hard to regain her strength before starting her tour again.
