The Oklahoma State Fair was met with tragedy on Saturday evening after it was reported that there was a shooting incident at the event. At the time, Motley Crue's Vince Neil was performing on stage and he shared his experience with his online followers.

The musician took to his official X account (formerly known as Twitter) to reveal that he was 3/4 of the way through his set when the crowd started running away.

Fortunately, he and his band were told to evacuate the stage and take shelter in the dressing room.

"At a concert in Oklahoma City Crazy night last night. 3/4 of the way thru the set people started running. We we're told to get in dressing room. There were shooters shooting people," he wrote.

He concluded his post by expressing his gratitude with his followers and fans for understanding what happened.

Oklahoma State Fair Shooting Updates

According to Billboard, the shooting incident that happened during Vince Neil's set took place at the Oklahoma State Fair event grounds.

One person was injured and hospitalized due to their injuries. As of Sunday, the attendee still remained in critical condition.

Oklahoma City police Lt. Jeff Cooper said two people were taken into custody related to the crime, but the other one was later released.

Another officier, Capt. Valerie Littlejohn, said there was someone who fired for the first time and after the initial shooting, another one fitred some rounds into the air.

This incident caused chaos among attendees as people started to run away due to what happened.

Oklahoma State Fair Shooting Suspect

As of this writing, one person had already been arrested and was charged with assault with a deadly weapon.

There is still no update regarding the name of the suspect as it was not publicly released.

Despite the tragic incident, authorities assured attendees that firearms are not allowed within the venue and there were security personnels placed around the entrances to ensure that no guns were being taken inside.

Per KOCO News 5, the police are still looking into what happened as they are still in the early stages of investigation.

Even though there was a shooting incident, the Oklahoma State Fair was still able to continue through its last day, which was on September 24 (Sunday).
