Cher and her boyfriend Alexander "AE" Edwards reunited after he allowed her the space she needed.
Their relationship began when they were sighted holding hands in Los Angeles in November 2022; however, the couple went their separate ways only a few weeks later at a Versace fashion show where they made their first public appearance together.
They recently first spotted out to dinner in Beverly Hills, California, and then again on Wednesday, September 27, at Balmain's womenswear show during Paris Fashion Week in France - where they held hands.
As revealed to Page Six, AE has something of an ace up his sleeve regarding his tumultuous relationship with Cher.
Despite her initial decision to part ways, the source stated: "We thought she got rid of him. But the fact is, Cher does enjoy spending time with him."
Cher has reportedly realized in recent months that life is too short not to be happy.
Following her close friend Tina Turner's death in May, Cher has sought sources of joy and contentment and also it was the time she broke things off with AE.
"With the passing of her friend Tina she is realizing life is too short. She just wants to be happy, and Alex is filling that gap right now."
The insider commented on this change. AE appears to be one such source for her as he fills this void in Cher's life.
Cher even had a ready retort when responding to the backlash over their 40-year age gap. She took to X - formerly known as Twitter - with a defiant message: "Haven't You Got Anything Else 2 Do?! Let Me Explain ... I don't GIVE A (flying) FK WHAT ANYONE THINKS."

On Friday night in Paris, 77-year-old pop star legend Cher stepped out on the arm of her beau Alexander Edwards, 37. As they strolled into the Costes Hotel for Paris Fashion Week, the duo glowed affectionately.
Her platinum blonde hair shimmering in the light, the famous vocalist was dressed to impress in an all-black outfit - a long leather apron over a silky gown.
Her music mogul partner complemented her style with his sleek tuxedo jacket and crisp white polo shirt.
To finish his look, AE had on stylish black trousers that blended with the design of his jacket and complemented Cher's outfit, making them one stylish twosome.
AE even went the distance to make sure his hairstyle was compatible with the songstress' golden locks; both had blonde hair in a tone that nicely matched each other.
Following their speculation, this couple is firmly back on track.
In fact, contrary to some reports back in May, they had only actually become engaged after their split. Their presence at Paris Fashion Week this year serves as a lovely reminder of how they first met - just one year ago, also during Paris Fashion Week.
