Olivia Rodrigo and Sheryl Crow are scheduled to play at this Friday's (03.11.23) Rock & Roll Hall of Fame ceremony.

After playing Carly Simon's "You're So Vain" at the star-studded event in New York last year, the "Vampire" hitmaker is making a return trip.

The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Foundation's chairman, John Sykes, stated to The New York Times that Olivia Rodrigo would be visiting this year.

She stood up and sang Carly Simon's "You're So Vain" last year.

 

This year, she will perform with Sheryl Crow. The connection between the past and the present is this shared admiration.

 

The song on which the two will duet is unknown.

Kate Bush, George Michael, Missy Eliott, Willie Nelson, and Rage Against The Machine are among this year's entrants.

The Barclays Center is the location of the ceremony.

In another news, Olivia Rodrigo has been working on a song for the next filmof  "Hunger Games."

The 20-year-old pop artist has provided a sneak peek of her song "Can't Catch Me Now," which will be available on Friday, March 11.23.

The song appears in "The Hunger Games: The Ballad Of Songbirds And Snakes." "Soooo beyond excited that I got the opportunity to write a song for The Hunger Games: The Ballad Of Songbirds And Snakes," the hitmaker of "Good 4 U" said.

 

The movie is based on a young Coriolanus Snow, portrayed by Tom Blyth, who serves as the franchise's primary antagonist.

According to a summary, "Coriolanus Snow at the age of eighteen, years before he would become the despotic President of Panem, would be the center of the prequel film.

"Young Coriolanus is handsome and charming, and though the Snow family has fallen on hard times, he sees a chance for a change in his fortunes when he is chosen to be a mentor for the Tenth Hunger Games... only to have his elation dashed when he is assigned to mentor the girl tribute from impoverished District 12," the synopsis further reads.

Meanwhile, Sheryl Crow, the 2023 Rock & Roll Hall of Fame inductee, will release her eleventh full-length studio album, "Evolution," on March 29, 2024.

Featuring nine new tracks, the Mike Elizondo-produced album will be distributed by The Valory Music Group. In addition to making the announcement, Crow debuted "Alarm Clock," the album's lead track, on NBC's "Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon" on November 2.
