Ever since Billie Eilish rose to fame during her teenage years, people have been speculating about her sexuality. Although the public has no right to dictate who the musician should love, the singer finally addressed the speculations and spoke about what her fans have noticed for years.

The musician appeared in a cover story for Variety published earlier this year. During her interview, she admitted that she's attracted to women, but at the same time, she finds them intimidating.

"I love them so much... I love them as people. I'm attracted to them as people. I'm attracted to them for real ... I'm physically attracted to them. But I'm also so intimidated by them and their beauty and their presence," she said.

The "What Was I Made For?" hitmaker also revealed that in the past, she never related to girls very well.

Billie Eilish Struggles to Identify As A Woman

Elsewhere in the interview, the singer noted that even though she wrote the song "What Was I Made For?" for "Barbie the Album," a track that revolves around womanhood, she still struggles to identify as a woman.

She added that she never felt like a woman and never felt desirable and feminine.

"I have to convince myself that I'm, like, a pretty girl... I identify as 'she/her' and things like that, but I've never really felt like a girl," she noted.

Billie Eilish has come very far in terms of addressing her sexuality as she previously told Elle Magazine that her personal preference is nobody's business following accusations of queerbaiting.

She addressed the scrutiny, asking why people are speculating about her sexuality when it's her own business. She also questioned the public about why they don't give the same energy as men.

Eilish then became emotional, saying when people send her something "mean," it hurts her soul.

Billie Eilish Relationship History

Throughout her career, Billie Eilish has only been linked to men.

Some of the famous men she previously dated were Jesse Rutherford of The Neighbourhood, Matthew Tyler Vorce, and rapper Q.

In other updates, Billie Eilish was among the honorees for the 2023 Hitmakers celebration of Variety. She, alongside her brother FINNEAS, is being celebrated for the song "What Was I Made For?" under the category Film Song of the Year.
