Detroit techno legend Carl Craig and Chicago house music legend Green Velvet have released a new, collaborative, surprise album titled 'Unity.' Released on Relief Records, the longtime home of Green Velvet, the seven-track album combines the best of both worlds from these two artists's warm, pulsating beats, steady tech-y bass lines, sporadic bells and synths with horns, helping to give more weight to the tunes. Some tracks eschew more toward the side of Craig's techno roots and some toward Velvet's house background, but there is a clear middle ground met between these two electronic music greats. Neko Case North American Tour Dates: New Pornographers Singer Will Hit the Road in April
The New Pornographers singer and solo act Neko Case will hit the road in April for a short North American tour that kicks off at the Greek Theatre in Berkeley with Alabama Shakes. Following a gig in St. Paul April 25, Case will join the 'Brill Bruisers' band for a few dates before going solo again in June. She will wrap up the trek June 20 at the Clearwater Festival in New York, 'Consequence of Sound' noted. -

Kendrick Lamar's To Pimp A Butterfly has become his first release to top the Billboard 200 despite dropping a tad earlier than expected. The album went on to sell 363,000 equivalent copies, including single downloads and streams-breaking Spotify records in the process- on its way to the top. That was also the second largest debut of the year—behind Drake—giving hip-hop the two biggest albums of the year so far. -

Araabmuzik will be along for the full tour, while Ape Drums will join for just two dates. -

Radiohead's 'OK Computer' Inducted Into Library of Congress' National Recording Registry; The Doors, Lauryn Hill, Joan Baez & More Also Recognized
Radiohead's 1997 classic OK Computer will be inducted into the Library of Congress' National Recording Registry for preservation today. Each year the library chooses recordings that are "culturally, historically or aesthetically significant" and at least 10 years old for inclusion as part of the National Recording Preservation Act of 2000. Radiohead's third studio album is among 25 recordings spanning from 1890 to 1999 that have been added to the library, The Guardian reports.
