• Mikal Cronin New Music and Tour: Rocker Releases New Song and Announces Album 'MKIII' [Look & Listen]

Mikal Cronin may not exactly be the same kind of guitar-centric act as Led Zeppelin but the Laguna Beach rocker sure takes a clue from Jimmy page and co. when it comes to naming his albums: He just announced the release of his third LP, MKIII. That follows in the footsteps of 2013's excellent MKII and his 2011 debut Mikal Cronin. At least his album art is evolving along the way. MKII only featured a photo of clouds while MKIII features an ink-wash (which kind of looks like clouds?) and the performer's glum-looking face.

  • Dropkick Murphys Tell Republican Governor Scott Walker to Stop Using "I'm Shipping Up to Boston"

If you're a working class influenced punk rock band, the idea of an anti-labor, anti-labor politician using your music at political rallies may just make you a little bit angry. Enter in the fable of Dropkick Murphys. The Massachusetts band's big hit "I'm Shipping Up to Boston" is now getting played at political events for Wisconsin governor Scott Walker, and Dropkick Murphys are not happy.
  • Morrissey Declines Autograph Because 'He Has Ebola': Singer Working on New Album in Los Angeles?

Morrissey busted out some of his signature, strange antics recently at Los Angeles International Airport. A fan claimed that Moz declined signing an autograph because "he has Ebola." The former Smiths frontman typically is not one for fan interaction, so while the behavior comes as no surprise, the choice of excuse is pretty interesting. At least it is timely -- and there is speculation that he is working on a new album in L.A.
  • 'Full House' Theme Song Gets Royal Reunion Treatment from Bob Saget, John Stamos and More [WATCH]

The Full House theme song got royal treatment over the weekend when the sitcom's cast sang it while attending the birthday party for show creator Jeff Franklin. Bob Saget, John Stamos and Lori Loughlin were among the talent from the show to take the stage, as well as Candace Cameron (D.J. Tanner on the show). As Billboard points out, the reunion performance didn't include either Mary Kate or Ashley Olsen, nor was second uncle Dave Coulier at the gig.
  • Lady Gaga and Daft Punk Collaborator Giorgio Moroder Working Together on Pop Star's New Album

Lady Gaga continues to roll out collaborators for her new album, or in this case Giorgio Moroder presented himself as working with the performer, telling PopJustice that he had about five or six tracks prepared for presentation. Moroder must be in demand among pop stars right now, as the Gaga revelation slipped while he was discussing his work with Britney Spears as part of his own solo record.
  • Sam Smith "Stay With Me": Vocalist Pays Tom Petty Royalties on Hit Single for "I Won't Back Down" Similarity

Sam Smith's "2014" was one one of the bestselling songs of 2014, and perhaps its had a little too much in common with "I Won't Back Down," another classic by Tom Petty and The Heartbreakers. It was revealed earlier this week that the soul vocalist has been paying royalties to Petty as a songwriter for the song, although not with all of the legal drama we often associate with similar tunes, such as the ongoing lawsuit between the Marvin Gaye estate and Robin Thicke comparing the 2013 hit "Blurred Lines" with that soul singer's "Got To Give It Up."
  • Kanye West Reveals Why He Doesn't Smile

Kanye West has always been one of this generation's most enigmatic musicians. Whether it is his godlike ego, ear for future trends and mastering them or interesting public outbursts, West has always been one to entertain. Now we have a new piece of news from West about a curious habit he and his wife have picked up on, but for different reasons. Kim says she does not want to get wrinkles because her looks are a large majority of the sell, but West takes a totally different approach to why he does not smile. While at The Daily Front Row's Fashion Los Angeles Awards, Kanye revealed why he doesn't show his pearly whites to the world and the reason is a bit different - as one might expect.
  • Tyga Being Sued By Former Manager

Young Money rapper, Tyga, is being sued by his former manager. According to a TMZ report, his former management company, C&J Management, is suing Tyga to the tune of $4 million. The claim is that he illegally fired them in 2013 and hired new management. C&J Management claims they were instrumental in creating the star that Tyga has become today saying they "turned him form a relative nobody to a world known superstar." They introduced him to Cash Money, so there may be some weight behind the accusations, but these lawsuits are always incredibly difficult to prove.
  • Kid Cudi Talks Deleted Man-On-Man Make Out Scenes in 'James White' Film

Kid Cudi made another big step in his acting career with the new role he played in the film "James White," which was premiered during the second day of the Sundance Festival. His role during the film was different from what Scott Mescudi has done in the past, starring as the gay best friend of the protagonist, James White, who is played by Christopher Abbot ("Girls"). Playing that role, Kid Cudi had some scenes which forced him to broaden his horizons, including kissing a male friend played by David Call. The scenes were cut from the film and Cudi only found that out when he saw the premiere.
  • Lil Wayne and Migos Unveil "Amazing Amy" After 'SFTW2' Release Ahead of 'Tha Carter V'

The Lil Wayne and Migos collaboration that fans have been waiting for some time now has found its way onto the internet. Titled "Amazing Amy," seemingly after the book series "Amazing Amy," which was adapted into the film Gone Girl, Migos and Lil Wayne have unveiled the track they recorded during the studio time they spent together. What appears to be a leftover track from "Sorry for the Wait 2," "Amazing Amy" sees all four rappers take their turn at a verse, riffing hard on the theme of Amazing Amy and supposed crazy women. As a potential candidate for "SFTW2," Weezy references the mixtape in the chorus, but does not make any mention of "Tha Carter V" and manages to hold back any disses that might be directed at Birdman.
