  • Morrissey Still Signed to Harvest Records, Despite Reports from Nearly Everyone (Including Music Times)

    Whoops. Looks like Music Times and a whole bunch of other music media got punked by Morrissey this week. A report on the vocalist's site, True To You, made it seem that Moz had been dropped from Harvest Records, and although the label itself didn't confirm the news, we ran with it anyways. New reports from the company indicate that the former Smiths frontman is still locked into his contract with the company.

    This year's KCON festival literally put in 110 percent this year. The 2014 version of the event, which went down last weekend at the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum, saw exactly a 110 percent increase in attendance from 2013, raising the total to 42,000 K-Pop fans. According to organizers, more than 40 percent of those attendees came from outside of California.

Dye, who served as the manager for the legendary rock band for seven years during the '80s, was 41 years old when he was robbed and assaulted in Sydney, Australia after a night of drinking with friends. He died later in the hospital after suffering major head injuries, and his assailants were never found.
