Donna Summer Gets Remix Treatment on "Love To Love You Donna," Featuring Hot Chip, Masters At Work, Others
Disco took it rougher than most genres when it fell from popularity more than 30 years ago. However some recent developments have brought the genre back to...no quite hip, but getting there. The year's top-selling single thus far, Daft Punk's "Get Lucky" featured contributions from Chic guitarist Nile Rodgers, whose band was at the peak of its popularity during the late '70s (although Chic is one of the few disco acts that has always been chic). Disco's biggest name, Donna Summer, is next in line for revitalization. -

Beyonce Brooklyn Video Shoot Leaves Woman Terrified At Top of Coney Island Ferris Wheel
Beyonce may or may not have been shooting a new music video when she stopped at Coney Island yesterday afternoon, but she was definitely shooting a video of something. The pop star and her crew occupied the historic Cyclone roller coaster for more than an hour while director/fashion photographer Terry Richardson filmed (as well as using a handy GoPro camera attached to the ride). Beyonce spent some time greeting the hordes of fans that gathered around, and even held someone's baby. It's arguable that the pop star was a little rude, reserving one of the world's most iconic roller coasters for an hour when vacationers and residents may have been keen to ride, but one woman dealt with far worse on the ferris wheel thanks to Bey. -
