• Pretty Lights Launches Spotify Playlist, Offers Download of ‘Only Yesterday’ [LISTEN]

    Derek Vincent Smith, the electro-soul pioneer best known as Pretty Lights, is back with a free download of his latest track, "Only Yesterday." Additionally, the Colorado-based producer has launched a new Spotify playlist series called "The Hot Sh*t," which features cuts from Bonobo, DJ Shadow, A$AP Rocky, Run The Jewels, Nina Simone, Atmosphere and Ryan Hemsworth among others.
  • Kaskade Becomes an OUR Rescue Ambassador

    Kaskade, whose real name is Ryan Raddon, has announced a new partnership that is not some soda deal or new clothing line, but rather a worthy charitable organization. The "Atmosphere" DJ has teamed up with Operation Underground Railroad -- or OUR -- Rescue to become an official ambassador for the cause, which saves children sold into slavery as sex slaves, laborers or anything else. Kaskade announced his new ambassadorship on Twitter, also including that he would be involved with the benefit after-party. He has also announced a benefit concert.
  • deadmau5, Kaskade Collab in the Works?

    After a busy Miami Music Week for Kaskade, which included a Redux gig at the Grand Central Saturday, March 28, it appears the "Atmosphere" DJ is reuniting with his longtime friend and past collaborator deadmau5 on a possible new track. A fan posed the question to deadmau5 -- real name Joel Zimmerman -- on Twitter, a medium he is active on, if there would be another collaboration between the "Strobe" producer and Kaskade. This new track would be the third track between the pair and the first since their iconic 2009 single "I Remember," which followed up the 'Strobelight Seduction' single "Move for Me."     American DJ and producer Ryan Raddon, professionally known as Kaskade, is giving back to his fans. He is giving away for a limited time only a free copy of his recent greatest hits compilation on Google Play titled "I Remember." It has the greatest hits from Kaskade over the last six years of his career, including tracks from the past four albums "Strobelight Seduction," "Dynasty," "Fire and Ice" and "Atmosphere" like "Eyes," "Dynasty" and "Raining." Some may view this as a cop out release just to make an extra buck, but with dance music's growing popularity coinciding with Kaskade's, this compilation serves as an entry level understanding of his music and will allow fans to dig deeper into his discography.

    Minneapolis hip-hop duo, Atmosphere, have shared the music video for their song, "January On Lake Street," which you can check out here. The video follows a skateboarder riding around a city (presumably Minneapolis), intercut with slow motion shots of various people doing pretty much nothing. That description makes the video seem a bit boring, but it all ties together at the end in a tragic way (mini-spoiler alert: it's a lot like the end of Melancholia).
