  • Baauer, Fetty Wap & Dubbel Dutch's "Promises" Released as Part of Adidas's Songs From Scratch Series [LISTEN]

    Originally previewed Monday, March, 30, Brooklyn-based trap producer Baauer, New Jersey up-and-coming rapper Fetty Wap -- real name Willie Maxwell -- and another Brooklyn producer Dubbel Dutch's collaboration "Promises" has been released as a free download. The track was put together as a part of Adidas's Songs from Scratch series, joining other collaborations between hot rising stars like Chet Faker and Goldlink, Joey Bada$$ and Chuck Strangers, Jacques Greene and Tinashe, Jeremih and Shlohmo and others.

    Fast-rising Patterson, New Jersey, rapper Fetty Wap, Brooklyn-based trap producer Baauer and fellow New York producer Dubbel Dutch made a track together titled "Promises" that has been captured step-by-step by Adidas and Yours Truly as part of their "Songs from Scratch" series. The process is captured in a short, 3 1/2-minute video and a long piece that describes how the concept for the collaboration was hatched and shows the creative process for each artist in making this track.

Despite the stagnant No. 1 seed, the charts actually got a bit of a shakeup this week as Maroon 5 make a play for the top and two new songs from Sam Smith and Fetty Wap break into the top 10.
