Abrams movie is Against Me! lead singer Laura Jane Grace, who has taken to Instagram and Twitter to talk about Episode VII, and maybe inadvertently started a fan movement to get her cast in the next chapter of the "Galaxy Far, Far Away." To raise awareness for the recently launched Happy Hippie Foundation, Miley Cyrus has conducted star-studded Backyard Sessions recorded in the singer's own backyard. The fourth session features Cyrus with Against Me! Frontwoman Laura Jane Grace for an acoustic version of "True Trans Soul Rebel," originally performed by the Florida punk band. -
Miley Cyrus, Laura Jane Grace, Joan Jett Perform 'Androgynous' For Happy Hippie Charity's Backyard Sessions
Earlier this week, Miley Cyrus launched her Happy Hippie Foundation's Backyard Sessions. The charity seeks to help issues affecting homeless youth, LGBT youth and other vulnerable populations. The sessions feature Cyrus teaming with another artist for a special performance straight from the Bangerz singer's backyard. So far she's performed "Different" with Joan Jett and a solo cover of Dido's "No Freedom" in honor of late transgender teen Leelah Alcorn. Now she's again enlisted Jett along with Against Me!'s Laura Jane Grace for a cover of The Replacements' "Androgynous."
