• Busta Rhymes is Dropping a New Album in 2016

    Busta Rhymes has been a hip-hop heavy hitter for decades. His influence and legacy are widespread, from Twista to Yelawolf. Nicki Minaj never would have said "Rah, rah, like a dungeon dragon" had it not been for Rhymes's verse on "Scenario." Rhymes has worked with some of the biggest and best names in hip-hop, while releasing his own lyrically dizzying music, and has announced that he will be releasing a new album next year, 2016.

  • Lil Wayne is Recovering From Elbow Surgery in Miami Hospital

    Lil Wayne has had a tough year. The New Orleans born rapper has been named in a number of lawsuits over failure to pay bills for pyrotechnics, private jets and more. Further, he is embroiled in a deeply personal lawsuit with his former mentor and label head Birdman. The rapper is seeking $51 million in damages and withheld compensation. The lawsuit has created tensions between Cash Money artists like Young Thug and artists on Lil Wayne's Young Money imprint like Drake and Tyga, and has delayed the release of Lil Wayne's upcoming album 'Tha Carter V'. It appears, only adding to his troubles, Lil Wayne had to have surgery on his elbow. However, he is successfully recovering from the surgery now, and seems to be in good spirits. After waking up from anesthesia, Wayne tweeted, "Much luv [to] Dr. Kaplan [and] his team at Univ. of Miami hospital for a successful (elbow) surgery. [And] dey had me on the tunes during surgery... dope!"

    This week, Miami rapper Trick Daddy stoped by NYC's Power 105.1 The Breakfast Club for a candid interview. True to form, Trick Daddy was honest to a fault with the crew as they touched on the subject of his past beef with Lil Wayne, where he placed the blame squarely on Birdman's shoulders saying, "had he been more of a businessman," the whole incident may have been avoided all together.

    Here's a tip: if you're considering wearing blackface for a Halloween costume or something like that, just don't do it. The act is incredibly offensive and racist, no matter what your intentions could possibly be. Unfortunately for country music star Jason Aldean, nobody shared this advice with him and now a photo of him dressed as rapper Lil Wayne in blackface for 2015's Halloween festivities. We wonder what Aldean's Tidal partners like Jay Z and, of course, Lil Wayne think of this.

    Lil Wayne has seen his fair share of legal troubles recently, but none seem to have unearthed a discovery as big as his latest. Police recently raided his Miami Beach mansion Tuesday after a judgement was issued against the No Ceilings rapper in a case against a private jet company. When the police completed their raid, they reportedly found a whopping $30 million art collection inside of Weezy's home.

    Lil Wayne has just announced a November release date for his 'No Ceilings 2' mixtape and it is due to drop on Thanksgiving this year (Nov. 26). 'No Ceilings 2' is a follow-up to his enormously successful 'No Ceilings' mixtape, which was released back in 2008. 'No Ceilings' was unleashed during the rapper's most successful period and included hits such as "Lollipop" "A Milli" and "Mrs. Officer," all of which peaked in the Top 100.
