Well, this story comes as a bit of a surprise. Ever since Teresa Giudice was sentenced to 15 months behind bars as her punishment for her part in a slew of financial crimes, there have been rumors that once "The Real Housewives of New Jersey" star is released, she will file for divorce. Unless of course, her husband Joe Giudice beats her to the punch! -
'RHONJ' Teresa Giudice Debuts New Online Cooking Show, But Will Anyone Watch?
Several weeks ago we heard about how Teresa Giudice was rumored to be ironing out the details in order to launch a cooking show once she finishes serving her 15-month prison term for financial crimes. The former star of "The Real Housewives of New Jersey" is trying to figure out how to provide for her four daughters later on as well as in the immediate future. One thing is for certain, her shady husband Joe Giudice will likely be of much financial help. It seems, though, that at least for now Bravo has opted to sever ties with the reality star, so she has had to get a bit creative. Glam.com offered her an online cooking show, and Giudice jumped at the chance. Her first episode of "Haute Hostess" is online now and features Giudice making shrimp and pasta from her cookbook "Fabulicious." Throughout her years on "RHONJ," it was always insinuated that Giudice rarely cooks, so peddling her books is just about as fraudulent as everything else she has done to make some fast cash. A few years ago, when Giudice's fan base was huge, the idea of a Web cooking show would have taken off like crazy, but now not so much. There is little doubt that she is hoping that "Haute Hostess" will be an online hit and that it will make Bravo's executives reconsider whether or not to take another chance on her. -
'RHOA's' Apollo Nida Launches New Business Venture From Behind Bars
Just because Apollo Nida has been behind bars for nearly three months now doesn't mean that he hasn't been busy. The fallen husband of "The Real Housewives of Atlanta's" Phaedra Parks has actually just launched a new business venture, from behind bars. Nida Fitness 4% is intended to be a motivational fitness program that Nida hopes will get people up off the couch. The company's tag line, "It's only 4%," is in reference to the fact that a one hour workout is actually only 4% of most peoples' day. -
'RHONJ' Teresa Giudice Sues Bankruptcy Attorney James Kridel, Blames Him for Jail Sentence
Remember how Teresa Giudice stood before the judge in open court in early October and said she was ready to take full responsibility for her bad business decisions that resulted in her and husband Joe Giudice defrauding just about every business partner they have had in the last several years? Well, scratch that because it looks like Teresa was more interested in saying the right thing in the hopes of getting out of a prison stint. It did not work, as "The Real Housewives of New Jersey" star is expected to turn herself in to begin serving 15 months Jan. 5, but she has decided to play the blame game before she goes away.Teresa has filed a $5 million lawsuit against her bankruptcy attorney James Kridel, basically blaming his ineptness for her being sentenced to prison. A list of assets had been requested by the court, and while it was submitted — late — it was also missing numerous things, such as property and luxury items owned by the Giudices. When they arrived for sentencing in October, they were vilified for not reporting everything and concealing assets right up to the end, which may have been the thing that prompted the judge to throw the proverbial book at Teresa. It is also a convenient way for the reality star to shift the blame onto someone other than herself, and that is exactly what she is attempting to do with Kridel. Plus, she is now broke and still has to pay back more than $200,000 in restitution as part of her sentencing, so Teresa is really desperate to generate cash flow from wherever she can, and she knows that her options are limited. -
It Looks Like 'RHONJ' Will Be Shelved Until Teresa Giudice Is Released from Prison in April 2016!
Just about every day now we are hearing a different story about what the future may hold for Teresa Giudice in terms of work. "The Real Housewives of New Jersey" star is scheduled to begin serving a 15-month sentence Jan. 5 after pleading guilty to financial fraud. The most recent season of her reality show wrapped up in October, and now Bravo executives need to figure out what they are going to do. At first it was rumored that "RHONJ" would continue on and bring back some old fan favorites to the canvas, but now it seems that Bravo is more inclined to put the series on hiatus.According to a report by Radar Online, sources close to the show are saying that network execs are fearing that without Giudice, the ratings will be dismal. Even with her there this past season, the numbers took a serious dip. Apparently, some insiders seem to think that shelving the show for a while is the best thing to do. Storylines seem to be a real problem because most of the latest additions to the cast have bored viewers into changing the channel. If "RHONJ" takes a break now and returns in 2016 with Giudice in the cast, fresh out of prison, it would likely do well. Fans of the show would want to see if jail time has changed her, and we already know that Giudice will be looking for a way to profit from her unfortunate experience. It might actually be the only way to get more mileage out of the show. -
After 'RHONJ,' Bravo Is Finished Doing Business with Convicted Felon Teresa Giudice
It looks like Teresa Giudice may have a harder time cashing in after she serves her 15 months behind bars than she originally had thought. "The Real Housewives of New Jersey" star had reportedly been hoping to secure some sort of television deal with Bravo, either for a cooking show or her own reality show, that would begin production around April 2016 after her release. Instead, it seems like the network is just about finished doing business with the woman who has been convicted of several financial crimes. At one point in time, Giudice had several endorsement deals, but the majority of those have been shelved and she still owes more than $200,000 in restitution plus has four kids to raise. Money has become a huge issue for the fallen star, but according to Radar Online, Bravo is not jumping at the chance to do anymore business with her."Teresa hasn't been offered any new projects with Bravo. In fact, there is a lot of bad feelings where Bravo and Teresa are concerned. The network feels used and was stunned Teresa said in court documents that the show was a sham. Bravo would never sign Teresa up for her own show after everything that has gone down! It seems like someone that was once close to Teresa is now floating false stories about her, hoping to get back in good favor with her. It's not going to work," said a source close to the situation. -
'RHOA's' Phaedra Parks is Trying to Forget Jailbird Apollo Nida Even Exists
Phaedra Parks may have filed for divorce from Apollo Nida, but that doesn't mean that the drama is over for "The Real Housewives of Atlanta" star. After resorting to fraudulent measures to try and support his family, Nida was finally busted for identity theft and other financial crimes. He turned himself in to authorities last September to begin serving an 8-year sentence and the reality show was filming during his last few weeks of freedom. Cameras caught Nida losing his mind because his wife was backing away from him rather than supporting him. Parks has caught some backlash from fans too for coming across a bit vindictive. -
'RHONJ' Teresa Giudice Is Getting Those Divorce Papers Ready as Marriage to Joe Giudice Is in Ruins
Teresa Giudice is scheduled to surrender to authorities at a prison camp in Connecticut Jan. 5, a stint that will ultimately keep her locked away from her kids for 15 months. One of the ways that "The Real Housewives of New Jersey" star is dealing with her temporary fate is by beginning to plan for her life afterward. Once she is released, her husband Joe Giudice will immediately begin serving a 41-month sentence for a string of financial crimes, and it is unlikely that they will be married once he is a free man.According to a report by the "Daily Mail," Teresa is already planning on having Joe served with divorce papers shortly after he is locked up. She is already furious that she trusted his business dealings only to find herself a convicted felon who needs to serve prison time. The reality star has insisted that she was prone to signing things that her husband put in front of her without really understanding what the documents actually were. As time has gine on, Teresa has found the resentment growing and she knows that it will only be worse once she is locked up while Joe is still walking free. -
'RHONJ' Teresa Giudice Is Trying to Force Her Husband Into Rehab to Delay Her Own Prison Time
Desperate times call for desperate measures, and it sounds like Teresa Giudice is willing to do anything to postpone her 15-month jail stay. The star of "The Real Housewives of New Jersey" has admitted that since being sentenced that her husband, Joe Giudice, has a drinking problem. In fact, his defense team tried to use his addiction to try and sway the judge toward sending him to rehab rather than jail for his string of financial crimes. That did not work, but now Teresa has found a way for her husband's battle with booze to actually help her.According to a report by Radar Online, Teresa is supposedly pushing hard for Joe to check himself into a rehab facility ahead of her Jan. 5 surrender date. Apparently, she is hoping that if Joe were to go to rehab, then her attorney could petition the court to change her surrender date. The judge in this case has said she does not want the Giudices's four daughters to be left at home without a parent, so she probably would be willing to change Teresa's date if her husband were to decide to get help. -
Marion Barry, Washington D.C.'s 'Mayor for Life,' Dead at Age 78
News of Marion Barry's death at age 78 this morning, Nov. 23, according to CNN, has been met with mixed reactions. He clearly was the most-talked-about and influential politician in the history of the District of Columbia, but not always for the best reasons. Barry's four mayoral terms and years of service on the D.C. Council ultimately became secondary to one scandalous event that landed him in federal prison for six months.Back in 1990, FBI agents burst into a hotel room where Barry had just lit up a crack pipe with a younger woman after years of reportedly investigating the mayor's involvement with known drug dealers. Barry insisted it was a set-up, and while jurors ultimately deadlocked on most charges, he was convicted on one count that put him behind bars.Barry had been dubbed D.C.'s "Mayor for Life" and proved it by winning his final term as mayor after being released from prison. While his brand of politics was often thought to be shady, he remains a hero because of his commitment to those in low-income areas.Berry died shortly after midnight at United Medical Center after collapsing at his home. Ironically enough, Barry had just been released from Howard University Hospital Saturday. -
'RHONJ's' Teresa Giudice Is Wasting Away as Her Incarceration Date Gets Closer
When Teresa Giudice was sentenced to prison along with her husband Joe in early October, the judge thought she was being kind by allowing Teresa to report to a prison camp Jan. 5. Those few extra months of freedom meant both parents would be able to spend maybe their last holiday season together with their four daughters. While "The Real Housewives of New Jersey" couple has tried to publicly present a united front, the truth of the matter is that behind the scenes they are falling apart.Joe used his alcoholism as a way to try and get out of jail time, as his attorney made a plea for him to go to rehab rather than prison. That attempt failed and Joe's actions since being convicted are hardly that of a man looking to get sober. Instead, multiple sources close to the family have said he is out at the bars daily, and Teresa is not doing much better.According to a report by Radar Online, Teresa is barely eating anything at all and has lost 11 pounds in the last month. Friends claim she lives on coffee, wine and a few nibbles here and there because she is super stressed about going to jail. While she has not yet said it out loud, Teresa has to be, on some level, concerned about leaving her kids with a man who cannot stay sober. She likely never really believed that she would go to prison for the few counts of fraud she pled guilty to. If she did entertain even the notion, it was probably something that was, in her mind, years away — after Joe finished serving his time. -

Mack suffered 18 broken bones, broken teeth and a ruptured liver before escaping while her ex allegedly went to the kitchen to get another knife.
