• Soulja Boy Releases 'Swag The Mixtape' Featuring Chief Keef, Migos

    It's been a long time since the late 2000s when Soulja Boy was putting out hit records like "Crank That (Soulja Boy)," Turn My Swag On" and "Kiss Me Through the Phone." Since the release of his third studio album, 'The DeAndre Way' in 2010, Soulja has been dropping a steady flow of mixtapes and has expanded his business and musical interests into a little EDM and fashion. However, nothing has really stuck. Earlier this year, he released his fourth studio album, 'Loyalty,' on Universal to mixed reviews and now has another piece of work to show in 2015. The "Hurricane" rapper just released his new project, 'Swag The Mixtape,' which has features from the likes of Migos, Chief Keef, Calico Jonez, Johnny Cinco and more.

  • Rich Homie Quan Taking a Break From Rich Gang

    Rich Homie Quan is in the process of putting together his debut album, and it sounds like he will be taking a break from the Rich Gang in order to complete it. The Atlanta rapper stopped by hometown radio station Hot 107.9 to talk about his new music and why he needs to concentrate on his solo effort. Quan dropped a new track with Young Thug recently, "Homie," that might be his last collaboration for a while, 'HotNewHipHop' noted.

  • Young Thug, Rich Homie Quan Share New Track "M.O.M. (Mind On Money)" [LISTEN]

    Atlanta rappers Young Thug and Rich Homie Quan have teamed up once again for a new track titled "M.O.M. (Mind On Money)," which you can check out below. If that title is any indication, the track is about money and how much these two love it (you know, hip-hop stuff). Though Thug and Quan's delivery is typically difficult to digest and inexplicably Autotuned, the beat itself is pretty nice.

    Atlanta rapper Rich Homie Quan has shared a new track titled "Flex," which you can check out below. The track was produced by Nitti Beatz and DJ Spinz and is backed by a pretty excellent electro beat, like a darker and more atmospheric version of Iggy Azalea's "Fancy."   • Rich Homie Quan, Yo Gotti Appear on SBOE's 'Better Than Them' [LISTEN]

    Queens hip-hop group SBOE — Slow Bucks Over Everything — have shared a new track titled "Better Than Them," featuring guest appearances by Rich Homie Quan, Yo Gotti and Boosie Badazz, which you can check out below. According to "Hot New Hip-Hop," this track originally appeared earlier this year on an SBOE mixtape, only without the guest spots from Quan, Gotti and Boosie, so this seems like a deliberate attempt to turn this into a hit. The hook is decent enough, so it might actually work — though the "Scarface" sample at the beginning is almost laughably clichéd at this point in the history of hip-hop.   • Rich Homie Quan, Young Thug Guest on Nipsey Hussle's "Choke" [LISTEN]

    Nipsey Hussle's new mixtape, 'Mailbox Money,' is set to drop tomorrow, Dec. 31, but if that's too long for you to wait for new music, Nipsey has shared a new song titled "Choke" featuring Young Thug and Rich Homie Quan, which you can check out here. The song features some heavy-hitting, dramatic production from London On Da Track and opens with a lengthy sample of Samuel L. Jackson's climactic speech from "Pulp Fiction." The vocals don't seem to be mixed very well though and often rise uncomfortably far above the beat.

  • Birdman, Young Thug Featured In Dej Loaf's "Blood" Music Video [WATCH]

    Detroit rapper, Dej Loaf, has shared the music video for her song "Blood," featuring Young Thug and Birdman, which you can check out here. The Be El Be-directed clip finds the three rappers partying and chilling in a few different locations, both indoors and outdoors. It's worth noting that Dej appears to be the only woman in the video, which is appropriate since the song is all about how she has no "hoe in her blood" or any "in her circle."

  • Rich Homie Quan Shares 'Ain't Trippin'' Feat. Young Thug, 'Blah Blah Blah' Remix [LISTEN]

    Fresh off the success of their recent Rich Gang mixtape, Atlanta rappers Rich Homie Quan and Young Thug have shared a new collaborative track titled "Ain't Trippin'," which you can check out below. It is not clear if this is a leftover from their Rich Gang sessions, though it could also be a new cut, since their co-conspirator Birdman does not make an appearance. Though the track definitely has a typical hip-hop beat — typical for 2014, anyway — there seems to be more singing than rapping going on. You can check out Rich Homie Quan and Young Thug's "Ain't Trippin'" here: Quan and Thug's Rich Gang mixtape "Tha Tour: Part 1" was released in September and spawned six singles: "Tell Em (Lies)," "Imma Ride," "Freestyle," "Soldier," "Milk Marie" and "Flava." "Tha Tour: Part 1" was Quan and Thug's most-recent, full-length release, and neither have yet to release a studio album. Thug claims his debut album will be titled "Tha Carter VI," since Lil Wayne plans on "Tha Carter V" on being his last, while Quan's upcoming album has yet to be given a title. "You can expect Drake on my album. You can expect Boosie on my album," Quan told "Hot New Hip-Hop." "You can expect Thug on there. You can expect Wayne ... I gotta get Nicki on there." "That's why I'm still waiting," he continued, "That's why you ain't heard it yet. I'm still working on it. I gotta get Big Sean on there. A lot of these my idols. People I looked up to coming into the game."   • Rich Homie Quan Shares New Track "Around The World" From Upcoming 'Sour Diesel 17' Mixtape [LISTEN]

    Atlanta rapper Rich Homie Quan has shared a new track titled "Around The World," which you can check out here. The Metro Boomin and Zaytoven-produced track features Quan rapping about all the places he's been around the world, from Los Angeles to Wisconsin (twice, apparently) to New York. Come to think of it, the only places he claims to have been to are in the United States, so his version of "around the world" is pretty limited.
