  • 75 Years of Bugs Bunny: 'What's Opera, Doc?'. 'The Rabbit of Seville' and More

    Today marks the 75th birthday of Bugs Bunny, one of the biggest cartoon characters in history. He serves as the Mickey Mouse of the Warner Brothers empire, starring at the fore of Looney Tunes. Although Bugs has focused most of his talents in the forms of television, film and comedy, he's also got pretty nuanced taste in music. Here are five examples where the world's most famous rabbit—er, rabbit—delved into music.
  • New Jersey Symphony Orchestra Shows World Premiere of Darryl Kubian's 'O for a Muse of Fire' and Works by Rachmaninoff and Tchaikovsky Feat. Pianist Serhiy Salov

    The New Jersey Symphony Orchestra will give the world premiere of Darryl Kubian’s commissioned work "O for a Muse of Fire" as part of its New Jersey Roots Project. The program will also include masterworks by Rachmaninoff and Tchaikovsky featuring pianist Serhiy Salov. Jacques Lacombe will conduct the performances.

    A new video game from Disney called Fantasia: Music Evolved puts the power of composing music into gamers' hands. Based off the 1940 animated film Fantasia and built by Harmonix for Xbox One and Kinect for Xbox 630, the game is powered by motion control, where different body movements allow users to interact with the music. The game hosts more than 30 artists including Avicii, Peter Gabriel, Lady Gaga, Gorillaz, Queen, Sting, Lorde, Bruno Mars, Drake, The White Stripes, Nicki Minaj, Drake, The Flaming Lips, David Bowie, Jimi Hendrix, and the Who as well as Beethoven, Bach, Tchaikovsky, Vivaldi and other classical composers.
