Zac Brown Band Tops Billboard 200 Third Time with 'Jekyll + Hyde'; Josh Groban, Tyler Farr Debut as Well
The Zac Brown Band found itself on top of the Billboard 200 for the third time with its new album 'Jekyll + Hyde.' Although it wasn't the group's biggest sales week (that goes to its last record, 'Uncaged') but it still managed to move 228,000 equivalent albums. The band has also been busy away from album sales, topping both the Country Airplay Chart and the Mainstream Rock Songs charts with different songs from the album. The only other act in Nielsen history to hit that mark was Bon Jovi. -

We were checking out Blake Shelton's new album Bringing Back The Sunshine (which topped the Billboard 200 last week) when we were struck by a humorous thought: "Man, 'Just South of Heaven' would sure make a great Slayer satire." It turns out that Shelton isn't alone in borrowing (or nearly borrowing) song titles from metal bands. We gathered a short list below, ranked from least similar in subject matter to most similar in subject matter. -

Jason Aldean Speaks Out on Being Dissed by CMA Awards
When the Country Music Association announced the nominees for the 48th annual CMA Awards, one name was not in the running for any categories, despite having a platinum album that produced four #1 singles. The reigning (and two time) Male Vocalist of the Year, Jason Aldean, who many thought would grab his 4th consecutive Entertainer of the Year nod as well as his 4th Male Vocalist nod, heard crickets. -

Back in March, the news that the Doobie Brothers were recording a new album with some of country music's biggest names later in the year came out. It is now officially "later" and the full track list, artists names, release date and cover art has come out. -
Tyler Farr 2014 Tour Dates [FULL SCHEDULE]
Tyler Farr's "Whiskey In My Water" music video has officially passed over 3.5 million YouTube views and as great as the video is, seeing him perform the hit song live and in person is even better. Between now and November, the singer will be on the Burn It Down tour with Florida Georgia Line, but he'll also be performing dates with other country superstars as well as solo dates at fairs. -
