The 2024 Grammy Awards lineup got even more stacked, especially now that U2 and Billy Joel have been tapped to perform at the live telecast.
However, things will be different for U2 since they will be performing remotely from The Sphere in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Billy Joel Performing At 2024 Grammy Awards
Variety reported that Piano Man Billy Joel was recently added to the roster of performers for the 2024 Grammy Awards.
Although he is not nominated for any awards this year, the singer who recently announced the end of his Madison Square Garden Residency, Joel will be performing his new song in 17 years.
He released the song "Turn the Lights Back On," his first new song in almost two decades.
Joel joins the already stacked lineup of Grammy Award performers like Burna Boy, Luke Combs, Travis Scott, Billie Eilish, Dua Lipa and Olivia Rodrigo.
Joel released his new song on Feb. 1, 2024, just three days before the actual Grammy Awards telecast.

U2 Performing At 2024 Grammy Awards Remotely
The beloved rock band will also be performing at the 2024 Grammy Awards, but not in the same building! They announced that they would be performing from the Sphere in Las Vegas, where the band is currently holding their Las Vegas Residency.
However, it was pointed out that U2 does not have a show booked for that night so it is not known up until now whether there would be a live audience where U2 will be performing.
U2 will be wrapping up their "U2:UV Achtung Baby Live At Sphere" on Mar. 2, 2024.

2024 Grammy Awards
Leading the pack with nine outstanding nominations, SZA is preceded by Victoria Monet and Phoebe Bridgers with the most nominations with seven each.
SZA's record-breaking album "SOS" is nominated for Album of the Year and Best Progressive R&B Album. "Kill Bill" is nominated for Record and Song of the Year and Best R&B Performance. "Ghost in the Machine" with Phoebe Bridgers was nominated for Best Pop Duo/Group Performance, while "Love Language" earned a nod for Best Traditional R&B Performance Best R&B Song for "Snooze," and Best Melodic Rap Performance for "Low."
The 2024 Grammy Awards will be held at the Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles on Feb. 4, 2024, hosted by Trevor Noah.
