Jay-Z made sure to bring up Beyonce's lack of Album of the Year triumph during his acceptance speech for the Global Impact award.

Beyonce has won the most Grammys in history yet never the Album of the Year. This is a mystery to Jay-Z and Queen Bey's fans

But because he decided to make his opinion heard, so publicly, many fans still remember the time Kanye West cut short Taylor Swift's speech during the MTV Video Music Awards. Kanye West received so much flak over that and Taylor Swift's subsequent success was enough revenge.

This year's Grammy Awards saw 34-year-old Swift win her fourth Album of the Year title, and Jay-Z can no longer take it.

"I don't want to embarrass this young lady, but she has more Grammys than everyone and never won Album of the Year," Jay-Z said. "So even by your own metrics, that doesn't work. Think about that. The most Grammys; never wonAlbum of the Year. That doesn't work."

The thing is, unlike the time Kanye made his views known, also over Beyonce that time, many are now agreeing with Jay-Z.

Some said that they like Taylor Swift - and they're not trying to shade her win, but for her to win so many times while the likes of Beyonce cannot get the same award through the years seem so implausible!

It's clear that Swift is a genius and her work is undeniably good. So much so that when she wins something again, it's surprising and unsurprising at the same time. Before the actual win, The Daily Beast already said letting her win this award for "Midnights" is just not right.

Although it's always safe to bet on Swift to win, choosing Midnights-a good pop album-over the other contenders would merely serve as icing on Swift's enormous cultural impact rather than an award that truly recognizes the album's merits.

Though it has its high points, Swift's "Midnights" is by no means her most remembered work. The tracks rehash familiar ground both sonically and lyrically, according to the peak-pop-music grammar she established with 2014's 1989. They lack the intimacy and uniqueness of many of her prior releases.
