Jay-Z criticized the Recording Academy for persistently failing to acknowledge his wife Beyoncé's Album of the Year despite her record-breaking Grammy wins.

Graciously accepting the Dr. Dre Global Impact Award, the iconic artist saw it as an opportunity to shed light on the academy's neglect of his wife.

"I don't want to embarrass this young lady, but she has more Grammys than everyone and never won album of the year," Jay-Z said from the stage. "The most Grammys - never won Album of the Year. That math doesn't work."

The "Empire Sate of Mind" rapper criticized his fellow musicians, boldly stating that a handful were not worthy of nominations in specific categories.

"Some of you going to go home tonight and feel like you've been robbed. Some of you may get robbed. Some of you don't belong in the category ... when I get nervous, I tell the truth."

Jay-Z then later emphasized the need for the academy to "get it right or at least close to right."

Speech Shock

According to a body language expert, Beyoncé experienced a range of emotions when her husband, Jay-Z, delivered a passionate and controversial speech in her defense at the Grammy Awards.

On stage, when he lovingly mentioned his wife, body language expert Judi James, who spoke to The Mirror, noticed a subtle hint of discomfort in Beyoncé's expression.

Her smile seemed slightly rigid and forced, as if she were hiding her genuine emotions.

Despite its intention to express the rapper's admiration for his wife, Judi found the speech "dangerous."

She argued that Beyoncé's large, "white Western hat" could have potentially shielded her facial reaction as her husband utilized his acceptance speech to protest against the fact that she has never been awarded Album of the Year despite her numerous other achievements.

Judi explained that in relationships, spouses can possess a hint of danger, regardless of their affectionate gestures and natural inclination to safeguard their loved one.

"It is worth noting, however, that countless women prefer to assert their strength and resilience."

She went on to say that while some may argue that Jay-Z's intentions are noble, the seemingly emotionless and perfectly balanced smile adorning the "Single Ladies" singer's face suggests that she may share the same sense of embarrassment that resonates with countless women.

Uncomfortable Defense

"He even called her 'young lady,' which again I'm sure he felt was flattering, but the sentence was 'I don't want to embarrass this young lady...', meaning he provided his clues regarding how he might make her feel. Moaning about not getting an award means next year's awards will be poignant for Beyonce. If she fails again, she'll be hurt, but if she wins, the hint will be that Jay-Z nailed it for her rather than her talent."

Despite the circumstances, the expert observed that Jay-Z seemed incredibly happy as he graciously accepted his well-deserved award.

He even raised the prize to his lips in a moment of triumph, savoring a celebratory sip.

As he took the stage to deliver his speech, Jay-Z radiated a cheerful disposition, displaying a remarkable sense of humor.

Per Judi, Beyonce's initial gaze towards her husband was filled with joy and unwavering affection.

"Even when he delved into the topic of boycotts, her smile remained steadfast."

The expert also noted that the rapper's body language hinted at his awareness of the potentially divisive nature of his speech.

Throughout her career, Beyoncé, 42, has garnered four Album of the Year nominations, only to have victory narrowly elude her, as Taylor Swift, Adele, Harry Styles, and Beck secured the coveted title.
