2024 is not a good start for Jhené Aiko as she's reportedly facing a lawsuit stemming from a 2022 incident which involved someone who got injured due to an accident; what happened?

According to legal documents obtained by The Blast, the singer, whose currently in a relationship with rapper Big Sean, has been sued and has been accused of negligence by a person named Genelle Ligot.

The reported car accident allegedly took place at the corner of Ventura Boulevard and Hayvenhurst Avenue in Encino, California.

The singer was accused of striking the woman's vehicle from behind while she was waiting for the traffic light to turn green.

Jhené Aiko Lawsuit Details

"[Ligot] was stopped at a traffic light when [Aiko] struck [her] from behind. Due to the negligent actions of [Aiko] while operating the motor vehicle, [Ligot] was injured in health, strength, and activity," the court documents read.

Legal documents also stated that the woman suffered wage loss, paid medical expenses, loss of earning capacity, and more, due to the accident that she claimed.

Now she's taking the singer to court as the woman demanded for a jury trial.

As of this writing, Jhené Aiko has yet to comment on the matter and it's still unclear if the jury trial that the woman requested has been granted.

Big Sean, Jhené Aiko Updates

The recent news comes a few months after Big Sean and Jhené Aiko were reportedly granted a five-year restraining order for a fan who reportedly broke inside their home in Los Angeles, California.

According to Yahoo!, the restraining order was granted by a judge from Los Angeles County after collecting all the evidence related to the case.

The alleged stalker is ordered to not get close to the couple and their children for over 100 yards. The restraining order is set until October 24, 2028.

Prior to that, it was reported that the alleged stalker, who was not named and was only identified as a 29-year-old man, showed up to several events and concerts, but a scary occurrence happened when he broke into the couple's home where they reside with their children.

An alleged altercation also happened between the stalker and the rapper's neighbor's security team.
