Carly Pearce and Ryan Hurd are some of the most notable names in the country music industry. Before this, Maren Morris was among them until she decided to leave the genre behind because of its toxicity. More recently, the two stars mentioned above announced their collaboration, which many believed caused a rift between Pearce and Morris; could this be true?

According to Billboard, Pearce and Hurd will collaborate on a song. Still, many people speculated that their sudden team-up caused the friendship between the former and Morris to end, as she's previously married to the country star.

Morris and Hurd married in 2018, welcomed their baby in 2020 and legally separated in October 2023. Many people also alleged that Pearce unfollowed Morris on Instagram after she released the song "The Tree," one of her first tracks since leaving country music.

"of course I said yes because he's a great artist. STOP making something out of nothing!" she added.

The fan immediately apologized to Pearce, as he wrote, "Thank you for clearing it up and apologies on my end. I've been told a completely different story from trusted friends & other people and went with it. Apologies again to you & your fans. Will still be a supporter."

As of this writing, Maren Morris has yet to share her insights.
