Beyonce going country has sparked some intense reactions. Some people question why while some wonder if this could be a bad thing for country music icons themselves.

Kacey Musgraves Reacts to Beyoncé  Going Country

Kacey Musgraves, for one, is not bothered at all.

In a recent interview with The Cut, Kacey Musgraves added her voice to the discussion.

In response to a question concerning Beyoncé's genre shift and the proliferation of pop musicians releasing country songs, Musgraves said, "The more the f-ing merrier. I don't really care. It doesn't affect what I'm doing. It doesn't affect me. I've always been just doing my own thing. It's just fun to watch."

Given that she had previously experimented with other genres with albums like Golden Hour and star-crossed, she also talked about her own country background. But like Beyoncé, she remained firmly anchored in her country identity even when she was producing dance hits.

"It's just funny because country music has been such a massive part of my life since I can remember," said Musgraves. "I literally grew up wearing rhinestones in fringe and cowboy hats and cowboy boots. It was my life. Country feels like home to me." She continued, "It may come and go trend-wise in other genres, but there's always something really timeless to me about it, whether it's popular in pop music or not."

Beyoncé Going Rock Soon

Country stars need not fret though. Fans themselves are convinced Beyonce won't even stay long in this genre.

Act II's "Texas Hold 'Em" and "16 Carriages," which Beyoncé released, quickly became viral on social media and became her ninth No. 1 smash. The singer also made history by being the first Black woman to debut at the top of the Hot Country Songs list.

Beyoncé recently posted a picture session showcasing her haircare product, Cécred, as she celebrated her success. The musician was seen in the photo below sporting a mullet and a torn T-shirt.

"I'm telling you Beyoncé's next album is going to be a rock album. To complete the trifecta." Another person added, "Beyoncé next album going to be a rock album and she gon' release a single that's going to have us like ... i need to prepare."
